- The 2021 Grandby Flatbed Truck Camper is the largest model in our Four Wheel Campers line. In this video, we’ll provide a complete walkaround of the exterior and interior of this full-featured camper.
Camper Exterior
Our walkaround starts with a look at various exterior options, including an 8-foot awning, side wall steps, cassette toilet accessible from outside, and the LED lighting package. Standard features are highlighted as well, including windows, latches, roof access, roof latches, a 2-propane tank compartment, and a sealed battery box that vents to the outside.
There’s also a view of the rear exterior, including the rear window and optional flood lights. The demonstration continues with a look at the outside shower connection, shore power connection, water hookups, and options such as a Direct Spark Ignition and furnace. We’ll also show you the cabover bed section, which is longer and thicker than on other models to accommodate underbed storage.
Camper Interior
In the interior of the pop-up camper, we provide an in-depth look at the 60 x 78 inch cabover bed. It’s a slide-out queen bed that can be expanded to king size. Other features shown include the battery box, which accommodates different setups, the cabinet for the built-in cassette toilet, and camper electronics (breakers, battery separator, power converter, etc.). The forced air furnace with thermostat, hot water switch, and battery monitor are also shown in detail.
In addition to solar panel options, we provide a look at the charge control, located in a kitchen cabinet, and other kitchen features like the optional flush mount sink and stove. An overview of the large dinette and seating shows the under-seat storage and how the table can be converted into an additional bed.
For the vinyl pop-up liner, we’ll show you its airtight, waterproof design and the four windows that feature privacy flaps, clear windows, and screens. A look at the light switches and outlets, underbed storage space, and how to raise and lower the roof is also provided.

Beautiful unit!!! So glad you guys added the flat bed and project M. Biggest mistake I’ve made in the last 10 years is buying a pull behind instead of following heart and buying FWC, as soon as the GD2670mk sells I’m get on the project M list.

I’m a Jeep guy. I incision a flatbed on a Jeep gladiator Rubicon . Is this possible?
My concern with these is that if it is used a lot, desert to coastal to mountains, that tent material will begin to crack / tear or rot-out. I don't know that but it just seems like it would. How long does that fabric last with raising and lowering 2 - 5 times a week? Thanks! Awesome looking camper. I love these things... cheers!
Thank you Jack. We have been building these camper for 50 years, so we have lots of experience and data on how certain materials actually hold up in the real world. The soft sides (pop-up fabric) is very similar to Hypalon, the material used for river rafts and inflatable boats, like a Zodiac and inflatable Coast Guard boats. Most customer get 15 years of trouble free use of the soft-side material if they don't do anything special for care or maintenance. If you take good care of the fabric, most customers getting 20 years of good use out of it. It is easily replaceable. It is a rip-stop fabric, air tight, and water-proof vinyl fabric. Will a flatbed grandby work on a ram 2500 mega cab?
A Grandby is made to fit an 8ft bed, so if your bed is 8' it will work!

My wife and I plan to live in a flatbed Grandby full-time.
Is it possible to order without the fridge and lighting or are those things built into every model?

Would it work on Tundra?
A Grandby Flatbed will not work on a Tundra. Grandbys are made for 8ft long truck beds. In general, a Tundra does not have a high GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) so to make a smaller flatbed work, major truck suspension upgrades are needed.

How do you secure them
The flatbed campers get bolted through with the flatbed tray.

Can you get AC in these campers?
We do not currently offer AC in flatbeds. They are only available in slide-in camper models with rollover couch or side dinette configurations. Hope this helps!

Ford ranger can be used?
Can you put a four wheel camper on a 2021 Honda Ridgeline?
Unfortunately we do not have any campers that fit the Ridgeline.
There was alot of wasted space for extra sleeping for kids
