- Recently my Iphone 6 has been experiencing a battery drain. After a couple weeks for playing with settings I finally have my Iphone 6's battery life at par. Follow these steps and let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for posting this. I noticed after I upgraded from an iPhone 4S to a 6 the battery life would drop 20% more than my 4S. Like if I leave my iPhone 4S on standby overnight it would only drain like 5%. But with my new 6 it would drain about 20% or more than my iPhone 4S.
One thing I don't get ether is ehy certain apps other than map or weather apps need your location. The only things that really need your location is weather & map apps. I don't get why say for example calendars uses location services.

Slick Drew you too? I had no battery issues on the old 9. Whatever. I waited a few months to do 10. To give time to see what bugs their was and give them time to correct them. As soon as i updated ,bam horrible battery life. The only time i had issues before was playing world of tanks. Now its dying twice a day and does all kinds of crazy stuff. It will be 10% and plug up and in no time its a 50 60%!! I don't think its the battery cause it was fine till the update. Or do they just want us to buy a new 7? Their is also a horrible bug with magnifying websites. When you magnify or move the screen it jumps erratically all over the place.

About 5 seconds later I turned it off.
Turned it back on in a minute and it was 14%

I've been having a lot of battery issues. It takes sometimes 2 hours or more to fully charge and drains very quickly. It was at 100%. I watched an hour or so long video on FB of a live stream then noticed battery dropped to 38%. I have to charge my phone several times a day. It's ridiculous. This video was very helpful, I just wish you'd slow down a bit. I had to keep going back to try to keep up. Nevertheless, thank you so much!

I’ve been having a hard time with my battery and don’t want to get a replacement. My phone shut downs randomly. By this point I don’t have a specific percentage when it turns off. I have an average battery life of 80% and well I need help. I cant seem to stop the problem.

Thanks, I followed every suggestion. Let you know how well it works. I have a brand new iPhone 6 with a rechargeable otter box power supply. I assume that a normal charge in the phone, also charges to otter box recharger ...no way to find out. I unplug my phone at 7 am, barely use it except for maps and it's dead by lunch.... Suxx

I feel a bit sad I have to do this to my 600+ bucks phone so battery lasts as long as a budget, Chinese Android phone... I mean "I don't need this" "I don't need that" "I don't know what this is", ok I could go as well "I don't know why I got an iPhone in the first place", turning off refreshing apps in the background is so embarrassing, Android does this with no battery or performance penalty. Also, turning off location services ? really ?, what's next, turning off incoming calls and the screen ?

When you upgrade an iOS on an older iPhone it acts weird cuz the Apple wants you to upgrade your phone aswell. For eg the iPhone 8 comes with iOS 11 but the 6 came with iOS 9 so if you just upgrade the iOS and not the phone the Apple wants you to have problems with your 6 so they can sell you the 8 . Why do you think they skipped the iPhone 9 ?? Cuz the Samsungs were getting ahead of them!!!btw, I’m an apple user but I never upgrade my iOS more than 1.0 version .

Tip - before u go to sleep put ur phone airplane mode and remove all background apps then switch off ur phone overnight and repeat for abt a week u can definitely see some changes :P

since i moved to new york ( it be brick 😭) , my phone has been dying quick . i always believed that it was the cold bc every time i take it outside in the cold it shuts off .. i googled it and turns out it was !! so if you live in a cold state like me and doesn’t like to have a case on your phone put one on and keep the phone in your pocket !! trust me it helps 😌’

You can also go to settings-battery and turn on battery saver. It will dim the screen and temporarily disable automatic app refresh, mail fetch, etc. until it is over 80% and then turn it back off. Works great.

This is one thing android has over Apple that nobody can argue about cause it is facts.
In short: Back up all data, iCloud etc. Delete all data in phone, Take backup from iCloud to your phone. It took me a long while, but trust me, the battery life is like a new phone

My Iphone 6 will literally be at 30% and just shut off and then when I put it on the charger, it will still say I have 30% Sometimes my phone even likes to skip numbers, it will go from 10% all the way to 2% and then just die all together. I have been adressing apple about this problem and they wont fucking help me what so ever. Got me a 6s a couple weeks ago, but the battery drains faster than my old iPhone 5. I sent like 5 texts in 30 minutes yesterday and it went down almost 10 percent while being in energy saving mode, is this normal? i've contacted Apple and they told me that the problem could be caused by a software issue and resetting my iPhone could help..
