Go to settings and go to the battery option and click on the tab that says battery life. This shows the amount of life your phone battery has if your battery is very low around 50-70 you need a replacement as it is not working at full power. I hope this helps

Apple made a very sneaky plan to sell there latest models by doing so deliberately slowing down old models with latest IOS updates.....very shameful of them....I would rather switch to other options instead of reverting for apple latest models....
Actually I did my research project on this & that’s not what happened. They slowed down older phones to keep older batteries from exploding. When you replace it with a healthy battery, the speed goes back to the original speed. It was to HELP customers keep their phones longer with less issues... you know, like the exploding galaxy phones.
The new battery apple installed after complaining is now doing same thing of draining fast after updates. They said they wouldn't do this again but here we are.
i literally had a mental breakdown because of my battery. whenever my battery drops i get so mad and i almost cry. literally 10 minutes ago, i was just on 63% after being on 70% because i was on instagram and it dropped 4% so i came on youtube and it stayed and i click back on instagram.. whoop 60%. i restarted my phone and it normally works for me. nope. it said 57%. then i re-started it again.. 54% and i once again restart it went to 57% and then without doing anything it dropped to 53%. sometimes i’d wish iPhones had Android battery. this is the main con of the iPhone 6-6s-6+ always dropping 50% in 30 minutes. also, sometimes i’ll go out to my friends and i’ll have 20-30% and all i’d do is switch it on to see the time and every 2 seconds 1-2% goes down or even when i don’t turn it on my phone sometimes automatically turns on because of sensory. and i’ll see it and before i’ve went out with 20% and i’ve got back home and i’m on 8%... why?
Just thought I’d let u guys know somin I just found out! Even though your battery says it’s going down like 1% every 10 seconds it actually isn’t! Your battery will last for the right amount of time! It just gives you an incorrect number! Most iPhones will remain on 1% for hours! But if u power turn your phone of and turn it back on it will show u a different percentage sign! This is because the percentage number it gives u is incorrect! Unfortunately there isn’t a way to fix it but just to let u know it doesn’t shorten the battery life

Apple purposely did these .ios 10 and below firmware are okay on iphone 6 and lower ... Battery wise but once you update ios 11-12. You will see dromatic change battery dieing fast.only devices that can handle it is iphone 8 thew xr and newer .they did these so you have too upgrade rather than just updateing old phone ....
