    • @yumri4
      @yumri4 Před 3 měsíci

      @@BenjyHanz that is most likely as GPUs are being designed for the data center first all other markets second. The reason why? The data center makes them 4 times what all others combined make them. Still for you think that is complaint for the AIBs not nVIida. The AIBs could say " we are only doing liquid cooling due to the heat output of the card" then only have liquid cooling cards. Both AIO liquid cooling and cards set up for custom liquid cooling but no air cooling as air cooling will require it to be to thick and might lead to PCB cracks from the weight of the air cooler.
      Right now AIBs are not willing to do that as air cooling has become the normal thing for all parts of the system over the last 30 years. It does seem to be going back due to cards like the RTX 3080, 3090, 4080, and 4090. The 40 series needing it more so than the 30 series. I do not have any illusions of the 50 series putting out less heat than the 40 series did.

    GDDR7 goes up to 32Gb (4GB) per chip. 64GB on a consumer level card, or even 96 if they put 12 slots on each side of the PCB (like the 3090). Though, HBM3E would be 512Gb (64GB) per chip.. Next gen has crazy potential. Watch Nvidia throw it away.

    Anti-lag+ does actually work... You just can't use it safely in many games where it would actually matter. And good luck getting anti-cheat developers to program some kind of exception for it that doesn't open up thousands of exploits cheaters can use to get their cheats to sneak into that exception.

    Can we just make graphics cards into external boxes with their own power supply. What's the point of these monsters that are bigger than the PC itself. Instead of PC cases where you insert a huge heavy monster of a GPU and hope your MB does not break and your PSU can handle it, let's just switch to GPU cases where you insert a PC in addition to the gpu.
