Here is the simplest argument I can make for why MJ is still greater than Jordan.
Lebron still has the opportunity to pass Jordan, it's just that at present day, MJ is still greater.

I realize that there's a group of people that won't have anything significant to contribute so they'll default to screaming "Hater"
But, before you do that, just realize I've made a lot of pro Lebron videos on the channel
    Like here: czcams.com/video/w2mY-yhsnEk/video.html
    Here czcams.com/video/20a9MyVSttQ/video.html
    And here czcams.com/video/X9ugJ0tXkOQ/video.html
So there is no hate here, and I've said more than a few times Lebron still has a chance to pass MJ.
Leave the hater comments at home.

MJ played 1072 games during his career (including the wizard years)
In those 1072 games among his accomplishments:
    6 finals 6 rings 6 finals mvp
    5 times MVP
    14 x all star
    3 all star mvp
    10 scoring titles
    9 all defensive team
    rookie of the year
    defensive player of the year
    2 time dunk champion
    and many others
Lebron is already at 1125 NBA games played (more than MJ) and has not achieved even HALF of MJs accolades. Thas should tell you enough.
Add to that the fact that once MJ reached the top of the hill, he never came down. And the impact he had was unmatched.
Also, there were never 4th quarter jokes about MJ, or other jokes in general. The guy was the shit.

And I was arguing earlier today about this .. if you take away the stats with the two & compare skillset & mindset ON the court .. notice how ALL Legends ALWAYS choose Jordan because how competetive he was and people who guarded jordan & kobe & lebron .. people NEVER choose Lebron .. you'd always hear kobe was harder to defend than lebron or Jordan was harder to defend because their killer instinct the "I WILL NOT LOSE" mindset .. Their smack talk & the fact of how hard it was to stop Jordan & Kobe the frustration that builds on defenders mind because their scoring couldnt be stopped let alone their defense was great! Look at Open Court best trash talkers ... Jordan ONCE began to count backwards from 40 to his opponent .. each time he scored, he'd keep counting backwards.. his opponent THEN realized that if Jordan counts to 0 then that mean he has 40 fucking points.. TRASH TALK! That YOU CANT GUARD me attitude.. Jordan would TELL his opponent his move LITERALLY before he does it & he'd make the fucking shot .. See people if you take away stats ... ALL There is left if skill & mindset ! All these things count .. This year Lebron posted Ben Simmons on his Instagram .. Back in the days, Jordan wouldnt be friendly with that dude, he'd trash talk him & bully him & score on him... You may not see what i mean by saying that but its just the attitude that will motivate you and make you remember Jordan! Lebron Is Top 10 greatest of all time BUT ... Jordan #1

Fuck dude... that's a pretty fucking compelling argument. Add to that the fact that MJ's era was a way more physical era whereas LeBron's era started using soccer flops that's inspired by Italy's and Argentina's national soccer teams which made me stop watching NBA. It's also the same reason why I don't watch soccer at all. Maybe I'm just old school but to me flopping to get a free throw or a free kick is cheating and a pussy move. But that's just a personal preference. I stick to boxing and MMA now. NBA was the only team sport I loved as a teenager until flops and super sensitive foul calling started becoming the norm. Now I prefer one on one combat sports where you can't blame your teammates for losses.

No he actually isn't he's in the same conversation with Jabbar Russell an Chamberlain an he can be anywhere from 4 to 2. But Jabbar is the GOAT he has 6 mvps 6 rings an the most points 38,387. Wilt is the only player to lead the league in pts rebs an asts all at some point in his career. Russell has 11 championships cmon now, an playing in the 60s doesn't matter you're equipped to the era you're in. It's not Wilt or Russell's fault they were a huge step ahead of everyone else. Can we also take into consideration that blocks an steals were not a stat an there's games where Wilt Chamberlain had as many as 25 blocks. In March 1967 he had 53 points 32 rebounds an 24 blocks. The NBA didn't include blocks unfortunately but for a career it's safe to say Wilt an Russell would average a triple double. Wilt also played 2 straight seasons without sitting on the damn bench, the man played the whole game for more than 1 season. When Wilt was 45 years old the Cleveland Cavaliers offered him a contract smh it's honestly sad that when talking about top 5 greats of even Goats Jordan is just placed on top like it's just some giving when it's not the man is probably 3rd on the all time great list it's hard for any man that's a professional athlete to have outplayed or done more than Wilt. Kareem exceeds Jordan damn near all the categories an Russell has 5 more championships than him while being the number 1 option on his team offensively an defensively. The mount Rushmore of the NBA is Kareem Wilt Jordan an Russell period no debates. As for LeBron James he's not even the greatest SF ever that's Larry Bird. Bird career averages are 24 PPG 10 RPG 6 APG 2 SPG an Bird wasn't scared of the big moment like LeBron. LeBron will pass the damn ball to dudes like Lonzo Ball an Mario Chalmers all 4th quarter whereas Bird Jordan Magic an Kobe lived for those moments an in most times delivered. LeBron James is where he is on the top 10 list an he's not going up, not at all. He's with Shaq Olajuwon an Duncan 7-10 section. 5 & 6 Bird & Magic. 1-4 as mentioned atop. LeBron is great but he's not slick he knows unlike his fanboys that he'll never be in the Jordan Bird & Magic conversation. Never ever ever ever.

There was a 33-game stretch in the late 80s where Michael Jordan played the same kind of roles as Lebron James in his offense.
He was asked to be a true point guard and facilitate the offense.
In that stretch he got 18 triple doubles. For the season he was pretty close to getting a triple double. And in that stretch of games Michael Jordan put up well over 30 points a game while getting over 10 rebounds and assists a game.
If Michael Jordan had been asked to do the things that LeBron does and Westbrook does, he would have been the first player since Oscar Robertson to get a triple-double for a season. And for a pure volume shooter he is the greatest field goal percentage guy of all time. Who shoots the majority of their shots from 10 to 25 feet out and makes half of them? There's only one other point guard that shot that many and made that many

In his entire playoff career of 179 games, Michael Jordan has only TWO games with 17 or less points, the other was 15 points.
2011 is something we never saw from Jordan in the playoffs. He had 13 seasons in Chicago, never missed the playoffs, 6 ended in rings and in 6 of the other 7, he lost to the eventual conference champion and NBA finalist, 3 times he lost to the eventual champion. The only time that didn't happen was his rookie season.

The one game where I was terrified of Lebron was game 7 of 2013. Not saying they are better than Lebron on the all time great list but Kobe, Dirk and KD gave me nightmares as a Spurs fan because they always took it to the next level against us. Kobe on 2001, 2002 and 2008 made me angry. Dirk 2006 and every single time we faced him specially when we are on the same division on his prime. KD 2012 and 2016 when Thunder and the Spurs were fighting for the number 1 spot of the West.

Remember LeBron James was has been told he's the chosen one since he can probably remember. Dude could of played in the NBA at 16. Jordan was told he wasn't even good enough to play on his freshman high school basketball team. He was never called the chosen one. He had more to prove. He had doubters. Spent his entire career proving them wrong.

Wade played hurt and out of shape but Kawhi kept LeBron from having any real impact on the series despite the 28 points a game he scored. I’d also talk about the 2013 Finals. The Spurs were up 2-1 going into Game 4 in SA. Wade was the best player on the floor in Game 4. He dominated on both ends of the floor. LeBron followed him. He scored more points but it was a vintage Wade performance that won the game. If they had lost, they would’ve been down 3-1 and they would’ve lost. LeBron has played with three dudes (Wade, Kyrie, now AD) who were dominant one on one scorers. Jordan played with none.

87: out 1st round averaging 37.1 PPg to a team to a team who went to the finals (Celtics again but eventually lost to the Lakers)
88: out 1st round to a team and still average 35.0 PPg (Bad boy pistons who went to the finals but eventually lost to the Lakers)
Pippen in 88’: averaged 7.9 PPg so he wasn’t coming off a superstar in the beginning
89: out in conference finals averaging 32.5 PPg (out by pistons who eventually won the championship)
    Pippen in 89: 14.4 PPg
90: out in conference finals again by Pistons who eventually won a championship but still averaging 33.6 PPg
    Pippen in 90: 16.5 PPg
91: won the championship averaging 31.5 and swept the pistons 4-0 and beat the Lakers (Magic was aging so I would say this is the easiest championship MJ has won) since Lakers were 3rd seed and a 50+ winning team he had to get through the pistons tho and he was older then them so don’t use the pistons were outta their prime because they weren’t
    Pippen in 91: 17.8 PPg
92: beat a team in a championship who was a number one seed averaging 30.1 (Portland) who was a 50+ winning team
    Pippen in 92: 21.0 PPg
93: beat a team in a championship who was number one seed averaging 32.6 ppg (Suns) who were a 60+ winning team
    Pippen: 18.6 PPg
95: came outta retirement and was out of the conference semifinals and was out by magic who was a 50+ winning team who went to the finals and lost to the rockets. Pippen was still an MVP playing in his prime.
    MJ: 26.9 PPg
    Pippen: 21.4 PPg
96: beat a team in a championship who was number one seed and also swept the magic 4-0 is why shaq wanted a trade (SuperSonics) averaging 30.4 PPg
    Rodman: 5.5 PPg
    Pippen: 19.4 PPg
    Bulls: 72-10 season
97: beat a team in a championship who was number one seed who was a 60+ Winning team (Jazz)
    MJ: 29.6 PPg
    Rodman: 5.7 PPg
    Pippen: 20.2 PPg
98: beat a team a in championship who was a number one seed who was a 60+ winning team (Jazz)
This is MJ at 35: 28.7 PPg
Pippen who missed 35 games that season and was 32: 19.1 PPg
    Rodman was 37: 4.7 PPg
At this point Pippen fell off as a superstar after Jordan retired along with Rodman
Jordan well averaged well above 20.0 PPg all at the age of 38 when both his knees gave up on him had many 40 and 50 points per game back to back. The point I’m making is that no matter if Jordan lost he knew how to handle himself and won against teams who were not easy to beat is why he is still 6-0 in the finals and only had one all star playing with him all of his career. Had won with a team who was garbage at the beginning and had worked his way up to win championships. He has won in less less time in his full time 11 seasons with Chicago in less time.
    Offensive force
    Dominant Defender
    Has many nba records
    Work ethic
    Accolades
    Unguardable jumpshot
    Back to back championships
    Clutch
    Killer instinct
    Good fundamentals in basketball
Competitive player when he needs to be the most especially in the finals= thanos
Lebron is a good versatile player but it doesn’t make him the better player, he has flaws to the game. I had to get outta the Lebron bandwagon last year till I did my research. There’s a reason why the ratings for the nba finals were high in the 90s because they wanna see MJ play, the man doesn’t even have social media and yet we still talk about him, there’s a reason why his shoes keep selling. It’s crazy how he retired and won another 3 peat which is on a another level.
This is why he is the goat.

easy to do when you aren't playing the greatest shooter ever, a top 5 shooter of all time, one of the best defenders in the game, the 2nd best player in the league, and perhaps the greatest 6th man in history
