Michael Jordan played five seasons without Scottie Pippen
      84-85 38-44..First round exit
      85-86. 30-52..First round exit
      86-87. 40-42...First round exit
      01-02. 37-45..out of playoffs
      02-03. 37-45..out of playoffs
LeBron james carried an absolutely horrific 2007 Cleveland Cavaliers team to the nba finals
In the modern NBA era (post 1960) only nine NBA top 75 players have won a championship without another top 75 player as a teammate
      Rick Barry (1975)
      Bill Walton (1977)
      Hakeem Olajuwon (1994)
      Tim Duncan (2005) (2007)
      Kobe Bryant (2009) (2010)
      Steph Curry (2015) (2022)
      LeBron james (2016)
      Kawhi Leonard (2019)
      Giannis Antetokounmpo (2021)
As you can see, LeBron James is on the list and Michael Jordan isnt
Lebron james has won 17 playoff series, without an nba top 75 teammate. Michael Jordan won ZERO
LeBron james has won 10 conference championships
Michael Jordan won 6......Only Bill Russell and Sam Jones have more conference championships (In a mostly nine team league) than LeBron James
In the year before Michael Jordan and LeBron James joined their team and the year after they left their team, their records were
      83-84 bulls 27-55
      84-85 bulls. 38-44
      92-93 bulls 57-25
      93-94 bulls 55-27
98-99 bulls 13-37 without Scottie Pippen
      00-01 wizards 19-63
      01-02 wizards. 37-45
      02-03 wizards 37-45
      03-04 wizards 25-57
      02-03 cavaliers 17-65
      03-04 cavaliers 35-47
      09-10 cavaliers 61-21
      10-11 cavaliers 19-63
      09-10 heat. 47-35
      10-11 heat 58-24
      14-15 heat 37-45
      2013-14 cavaliers 33-49
      2014-15 cavaliers 53-29
      2017- 18 cavaliers 50-32
      2018-19 cavaliers 19-63
      2017-18 lakers. 35-47
2018-19 lakers were 20-14 when LeBron James got injured on Christmas day.
As you can see When LeBron James joins a team, the team improves more than Michael Jordan and when LeBron James leaves a team, the team always goes into the tank.
Michael Jordan, excluding the 94-97 seasons, when the NBA moved the three point line to 22 feet, was a career 28% three point shooter. LeBron James is a career 34% three point shooter
Michael Jordan was a great defensive player, in an Era where you could handcheck. Playing defense is much easier when you can handcheck. For nearly 6'9 250 LeBron James' entire career he wasn't afforded the opportunity to handcheck.
THE EVIDENCE IS CLEAR..LEBRON JAMES IS THE GOAT!!!!!
      I have added a Postscript
So many have replied, that LeBron james didn't make the playoffs his first two years and Jordan did. What they fail to say is, in 1985, 16 of 23 teams made the playoffs. In 2004, 16 of 29 teams made the playoffs. It was MUCH EASIER Making the playoffs in 1985. Perfect example is the 1985 86 bulls went 30-52 and made the playoffs and the 2004 05 cavaliers went 42-40 and did not make the playoffs. Also, I don't know, possibly, maybe, Jordan had a HUGE ADVANTAGE considering he played three years of college basketball and LeBron James was 19 years old, and straight out of high school

If you think Michael Jordan is the greatest , usually you bring up his accolades , his peak performances , his iconic moments , his basketball skill, and his impact to turn a losing franchise like the pre 1984 Chicago Bulls into one of the most noticeable sports brands in sports history because of winning.
When people usually say Lebron is the GOAT , they have to attempt to tear down Michael Jordan’s era , talk about his teammates , talk about his opponents , talk about immeasurable things like “playing in the social media era”
The comparison is never head to head from a Lebron Jame’s fan perspective.
Head to head Michael Jordan won more , accomplished more , and dominated his era better - and he did it in less time. Logically it’s hard to say Lebron is better.

Exactly this, LBJ fans/media always have to downplay what MJ did to get people into thinking what he did was not impressive. Then they use false narratives like “he didn’t win until Pippen came”, “was just a scorer”...use hypotheticals like “MJ would never take the 07 Cavs to the finals”, “”MJ would never beat the the GSW” etc Then on the other side they prop up everything LBJ does as if he did some “unthinkable” task that no one else can do. They never give an actual argument.

Like a true warrior he rewrote his name and career and as we know the rest is history. To really speak on the goat topic you have to really look at everything when you argue this and Mike is the greatest, Kobe is 2nd, and LeBron is 3rd or whenever you really want to rank him. Make this debate with on the court facts period. Oh one last thing, Gilbert says Mike era was weak, now I'm 40 and I remember NBA on NBC on Saturday and Sunday 4 great games every weekend and every team for what its worth had a triple threat on their teams. Jordan's staying with Chicago, and allowing a team to be built around him was waaaayy more advantageous than going to other teams and learning to play with new players. Grant, Armstrong, Pippen, Rodman, Kukoc, brought talent to Chicago and learned to play with an already accredited Jordan, which made them one of the greatest dynasties in NBA history.

Most of the criticism against LeBron is due to LBJ himself.
LeBron's media bashing 24/7 was due to him saying bullshit things like 'his decision show', 'real world', 'he never played on superteam', 'he never flopped', etc. Jordan never made that mistake. He was pro at interviewing.
Nevertheless, he faced a lot of criticism from early in his career.
'Good penetration but weak jump shot' -> became one of the best mid-range shooter of all time
'Scoring champions can't win championships' -> won scoring champion at every winning championship season
'He's good on offense, not so much on defense' -> 9 times all nba defensive 1st team with Dpoy
'Lacks the ability to lead a team to a championship like Magic Bird did' -> Won 6 championship (2x 3peat) which is more than Magic or Bird.
This is how Jordan silenced all criticism of him with a game of basketball and became known as the GOAT.
LeBron, on the other hand? He's the GOAT(Going On Another Team) also in his own way.

Back in the 80s, everyone - even non basketball fans - knew about Dr J, Bird, Magic, and Jordan. All newspapers covered them. They were on the nightly news. The country followed them. The NBA is very unpopular because players do not seem to understand sports - winning fairly, pushing yourself, being a team player, and giving it your all. Dr J, Bird, Magic, and Jordan were not telling people how to live their lives and how to think. They were just basketball players and did not go outside that boundary. Today's players seem to view themselves as icons and they are not.

Like most younger people you lack comprehension. Yes more people watch the game, as technology has made the world smaller. But thanks to MJ the popularity of the game has exploded. Technology has allowed more people to view highlights. Hell, most urban cities didn’t even have cable, there definitely wasn’t internet, yet Millions knew who Magic was, who Bird was who Dr J was…. Without the mass coverage.
The point he was trying to make was that those players popularity went beyond the game. MJ brought that popularity global.
The league is seen by more and gets more attention because of the technology ~ because of the internet.
If you still don’t quite understand,
the players EARNED their status and grew the game. Todays players are ungrateful and entitled and disrespect those that laid the foundation for the league to be more popular than ever.

What I find odd is that Rich Paul mentions Kobe, but acts like Kobe wasn’t heavily scrutinized and compared to MJ all the time too during his career. Kobe didn’t necessarily deal with this modern era of social media sure but he was still heavily scrutinized and so were other superstars in the past. LeBron wasn’t the only or first one.
I just don’t see how that correlates with being better than MJ or Kobe like Paul presents it lol. If anything, it gives wayy more credit to MJ for becoming THE standard and gives credit to Kobe also for being the absolute closest thing to MJ/the standard.
Ima add a snippet that I like from an article. It’s some thoughts Kobe had and that I think fits with players like Kobe, MJ, Bron, and Magic: “In all, Kobe knows the real reason why this clutch argument against him continues to persist.”
“People kind of get bored with things that I’ve done, so they try to find new ones to talk about or try to find numbers to justify certain things. That’s what happens when you win. I remember Magic and Michael [Jordan] going through similar things. Hey, the talk before was that I couldn’t do it without Shaq. Well I did that. And then I did it again. Now it’s something else. They’re always going to come for something else. But I win. We win.”

      LeBron james (2016)
      Kawhi Leonard (2019)
      Giannis Antetokounmpo (2021)
As you can see, LeBron James is on the list and Michael Jordan isnt
Lebron james has won 17 playoff series, without an nba top 75 teammate. Michael Jordan won ZERO
LeBron james has won 10 conference championships
Michael Jordan won 6......Only Bill Russell and Sam Jones have more conference championships (In a mostly nine team league) than LeBron James
In the year before Michael Jordan and LeBron James joined their team and the year after they left their team, their records were
      83-84 bulls 27-55
      84-85 bulls. 38-44
      92-93 bulls 57-25
      93-94 bulls 55-27
98-99 bulls 13-37 without Scottie Pippen
      00-01 wizards 19-63
      01-02 wizards. 37-45
      02-03 wizards 37-45
      03-04 wizards 25-57
      02-03 cavaliers 17-65
      03-04 cavaliers 35-47
      09-10 cavaliers 61-21
      10-11 cavaliers 19-63
      09-10 heat. 47-35
      10-11 heat 58-24
      14-15 heat 37-45
      2013-14 cavaliers 33-49
      2014-15 cavaliers 53-29
      2017- 18 cavaliers 50-32
      2018-19 cavaliers 19-63
      2017-18 lakers. 35-47
2018-19 lakers were 20-14 when LeBron James got injured on Christmas day.
As you can see When LeBron James joins a team, the team improves more than Michael Jordan and when LeBron James leaves a team, the team always goes into the tank.
Michael Jordan, excluding the 94-97 seasons, when the NBA moved the three point line to 22 feet, was a career 28% three point shooter. LeBron James is a career 34% three point shooter
Michael Jordan was a great defensive player, in an Era where you could handcheck. Playing defense is much easier when you can handcheck. For nearly 6'9 250 LeBron James' entire career he wasn't afforded the opportunity to handcheck.
THE EVIDENCE IS CLEAR..LEBRON JAMES IS THE GOAT!!!!!
      I have added a Postscript
So many have replied, that LeBron james didn't make the playoffs his first two years and Jordan did. What they fail to say is, in 1985, 16 of 23 teams made the playoffs. In 2004, 16 of 29 teams made the playoffs. It was MUCH EASIER Making the playoffs in 1985. Perfect example is the 1985 86 bulls went 30-52 and made the playoffs and the 2004 05 cavaliers went 42-40 and did not make the playoffs. Also, I don't know, possibly, maybe, Jordan had a HUGE ADVANTAGE considering he played three years of college basketball and LeBron James was 19 years old, and straight out of high school

He actually has the audacity to hold up LeBron as having a huge impact from an "everybody got paid" perspective. Question: Has there ever been a time when millions upon millions of people all over the world wanted to "Be Like LeBron"? Nope.
Jordan shifted the entire sport, entertainment, commercial & media landscape in the entire world. Before MJ China wasn't paying attention to the NBA. Nor was any of Asia for that matter. Nor Eastern Europe, South America, Africa, Mexico nor the Pacific Islands. There were places in the world that had no idea basketball even existed, let alone the NBA. Outside the US & Canada, the only sport that mattered was soccer (fútbol). And in many countries it's still that way.
Then Michael Jordan came along. His influence help turn not just the NBA, but basketball itself, into an international sport. When the original Dream Team went to the Olympics, the main headliner in every nation was Michael Jordan. There were no major shoe deals before MJ. Athlete endorsements became an institution. Sports paraphernalia become an international industry. The NBA launched into a new era of prosperity. ALL team organizations started making big money. Players started getting more substantial contracts. Businesses in all sectors started making more money. The Media arose to a whole new level. ESPN, Fox Sports, & the other media organizations would not exist as they do today. Jordan was a worldwide icon.

That's how easy it is to manipulate & deceive people who are so enamored with Lebron & Rich Paul's wealth & success! @ 5:47 Rich Paul being the caddy that he is, posed the question "How many Finals have you been too?" No disrespect to Martin, McCant & Gilbert, they were good players but they were not the bus drivers with the exception to Gilbert for a short stint!, It's not like he pose that question to Kobe, Magic or Duncan, hall of famers who led their teams to the Finals! But Rich omitted a major caveat in that deceptive question, "HOW MANY SUPER TEAMS HAVE YOU BEEN ON THAT MADE THE FINALS?" And If Kenyon was thinking he should have known that he's been to more Finals without a super team than LeBron James, who's only been to ONE! Lebron's minions like Rich Paul believes they can use repetitive media propaganda to brainwash and crowbar Lebron into the minds of the masses as the G.O.A.T! LeBron can't get away from his criticism as easy due to social media but to act like hes more scrutinized is insane. I don't recall him being blamed for his dads death like MJ, I don't recall him fighting for his freedom while playing like Kobe, no one really attacks him in a personal manner like that.
The only criticism LeBron really faces is on the court and as much as LeBron minions don't like to hear it, that criticism is often valid. Stacking your deck in Miami, Cleveland, and LA is a pretty valid criticism afterall, same with lackluster defense over the last 6 years. There's nothing unfactual about saying any of that.
