Before people starting shredding me again, hear me out: Every game mode in NHL 15 new-gen has very specific settings for which the players are restricted too. Although you guys could see a huge difference in the old-gen vs the new-gen, the reason being is because of the preset settings. Regardless of what player you would choose, they would all act the same in practice mode because of these settings in new-gen. The old-gen of this game does not have the same settings in place for practice; therefore, you can see a big difference in the way the players are displayed. They play to their stats. I mean if you don't believe me, go play one of the live moments in NHL 15 new-gen. You can tell there is a huge difference in the settings. Practice is fluid and fast paced while many of the live moments are "hardcore" setting type, and your player's skating, deking and shooting all feel like they are nerfed to a very high degree. You have to physically change settings and sliders around in order for you get the "HUT Feel" out of those game modes. Now I'm not on anyone's side here because I have had those games where my players play to a lesser degree than others when I know mine are at a higher overall. Boosts could be in play but there is no way to know for sure unless you've seen your opponents team previously. A funny video nonetheless Johnny, but until I actually see a comparison between Scott and Crosby in an actual HUT game with HUT's specific settings and not preset practice mode settings like they are in new-gen, I still believe that card stats do in fact matter in the game.

Do tests while in an actual HUT game and you'll see a large difference. Nice attempt but you can't use practice mode to prove your theory.
Nate Mayo There is no latency in offline mode. They aren't programmed to "be the same" in practice mode. That's asinine. They "feel" better because you aren't dealing with lag. Doing this test in offline mode removed all other variable affecting the players. It put them on equal footing and shows clearly that the difference is NEGLIGIBLE on Current Gen compared to old gen, clearly showing a deficiency in the programming of XBONE NHL 15.

Hey Johnny have you thought about testing the difference between regular cards of players and TOTW or even Team Of The Year players? Something tells me that the default Connor McDavid card doesn't play too much better than his nasty TOTY.
Serious changes need to be made in nhl 16, one thing that would be cool is player characteristics, like players actually play and are better with certain situations, like ovy's corner shot of Jonathan quicks splits

But, What I have noticed being a player in Division 2 with players consisting of mid to high 80s, and a goaltender rated 84, although you are right about individual play, I find when the players are higher overall they will pick up the loose pucks in the corners 9/10 against my defenders. Which can be a big difference maker, one loose puck loss and they can score and that affects the end result. So yes, individual player stats stay similar, but the way the players can pick up loose pucks is quicker when the overall is higher. Just my opinion from being in Division 2 for a while with people who have Rask as a backup and King Henrick as the start. My 84 ovr Lack gets shit done.
