Get ready for all the legendary goals, unbelievable stats and flowing mullet that one can handle with the greatest goals and milestone plays from Jaromir Jagr's amazing career... so far.
+Abrar Arif Great comment. I had forgotten that as well. I just looked it up, and if he was in the NHL for those years, he would easy have over 2000 pts., and most of his career was spent in the 'dead puck' era, not the high flying 70's and 80's like Gretzky, Messier, Francis and Dionne.
He wouldn't be as good as he is right now, he said it even himself. How media and nearly everything works in KHL, he was able to be much more stress-free and do everything like he wanted to. When he came back, he added a little bit of that to how he plays and does things.
Saint Jagr!! I'm russian, I have hated him when we lost Olimpic final at Nagano 98. And now I hope that he will stay for one more season at NHL because I want to see the best hockey player I have ever seen!
It would be Gordie Howe for me. Could win scoring titles and was one of the strongest and most physical athletes of all-time. I will say Jagr isn't far behind. So funny how in the early 90's if you weren't a Penguins fan you hated this guy but now he is so deservingly beloved by everyone.
I think his way of playing hockey is very similar to Peter Forsberg´s when I look at him. I am Czech and I have to admit that M. Lemieux was better than Jagr. But it depends on the point of view.
Maybe as far as offensive forwards goes. He had skating, power, insane puckhandling, passing skills, shot, everything. But no defense. So as an offensive forward he was the complete package, but guys like Howe, Trottier, Potvin, Messier were complete, all around players
Seen him play twice. Once back in the early 90's with Mario. Then again a couple months ago. Players like him don't come around often. So it's been amazing to watch him live. Class Act, first ballot hall of famer. But I think he still has a couple years left in him.
One of my best and most favorite moves as a winger is the one I got from Jagr. When the pass is coming to you across the the front of the goal and instead of just shooting it, you take it and go across the goalie and go to your back hand. Still scoring like that after all these years. Thank you Jaromir!
Got to watch him play for the Panthers for a season. Every time he was on the ice my eyes were on him. He was amazing to watch and I was lucky enough to witness a few of his record breaking games. He’s still playing now over seas. He’s a machine.
because of Jaromir, i feel i'm still young.. i was in my 20's in college and my whole life ahead of me when i first saw him. Now i'm 50 and he's still playing. As long as he's playing, i'll always feel young. I can't believe he's still playing. Pls pls pls jaro, never retire. u bring back great memories of my past, and as long you're still playing, i don't feel old, i feel like i'm still in my 20's.
In the spring of 1992 i saw Jagr score that amazing goal against the Hawks in the cup final. I was 9 yrs old. He's been my fav player ever since. I am now 34 and watching him play with my fav team, the calgary flames. Full circle. Wow. Gotta get a jersey.
Almost 20 years ago when the all star game was here in Minnesota me and a bunch of my teammates were at excel energy center watching the warm ups the day before the game. We went down to the glass and the little cutout for the cameras I stuck my hand thru and I got to shake jagrs' hand, as a young hockey player I will never forget that moment. Thanks man!!
Back when we didn’t have an NHL team in Texas they would bring in two teams to play an exhibition game, one year they brought The Detroit Red Wings vs The Pittsburgh Penguins and it was awesome to see Steve Yzerman & Mario Lemieux but little did we know that a 17 year old Jaromir Jagr would turn out to be one of the best players in NHL history and I got to see him play in that exhibition game. The other great part of that night was when everyone was standing in line to see Mario I seen Stevie Y standing outside all alone and got to talk with him for several minutes and get my rookie card signed by him…what an unforgettable night it was….👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I've said and Felt for near to 20 years now that Jaromir hasn't been Appreciated Near Enough for His GReat Hockey Talents . I HOPE he's made some really Good Coin over the years so he's WELL SET when they raise his sweater up to the rafters with Bobby Orr . " Thank You Jaromir " The LEGEND !!!
WOW , Thanks Marcos . I guess I have a lot more Jaromir researching to do now . I know he's been a real playboy - and what Straight man can Knock him for that !! As a now past and longtime musician , I was ( and Still am ) a Single NSA hoe also , as it's the Most All Over Excellent Exercise !!! If there isn't already - I'll bet there will be a book .
pray he can play one more year where he belongs in a penguin jersey. he is and always will be my favorite player. if he didnt play in europe for 4 years he would be even closer to gretzky stats. thank goodness i got to watch him play 20 plus years
Joseph Penguin I hate to say it but he's no where near fast enough to play that style of hockey anymore. I'd like to see it though. That be a great way to end an amazing career
***** Well, it's kinda tough to say who is the biggest sport legend. We have Masopust or Nedvěd, who both won the Golden Ball for the best football player of the particular year, we have a lotta good athletics.... sportsmen/sportswomen... but it is truth JJ made our republic famous overseas.
maybe hockey is small sport for you in US, but its not that small worldwide.. for US, the big sport is basketball, for example, yet its really small sport in almost every other country.. dont judge it by your point of view O:-)
We can mention something but they are forgotten or they don't play 30 years like Jágr :D Tennis - Martina Navratilova (Wimbledon - Winner of most Ladies' Singles titles 1978, 1979, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1990) Jan Železný - Javelin throw WR 1996 (20 years totaly unbeaten - second place 5m shorter) - first woman also CZE Barbora Špotáková 2008 ...and hopefully more :)
One of the better players of his time in the NHL. Man was a phenomenal player! Miss the 90s in pro hockey because that's when I fell in love with the sport!
Over the last 40 years Pittsburgh fans have been blessed with 3 of the best players of all time. Lemieux, Jagr and Crosby and 2 of them played together for years. Amazing
i love seeing old clips just to watch the goalie, their stance compared to the butterfly stance goalies are in these days is insane, never seen straighter feet on a goalie
+camelCase Entertainment to expand on your comment, the Great One had 1963 career assists. If he had NEVER scored a SINGLE goal in the NHL, he would STILL be the NHL ALL TIME points leader by 76 points, ahead of Messier. Let that sink in. He could have scored ZERO goals, and still been the all time points leader.
***** You also have to understand he had bodyguards because of his skill, players knew if you went after Gretzky, you'd get killed.. so in a sense he kinda avoided the messy stuff
Jagr was a marvelously skilled player . If he wanted to rag the puck there isnt a player in the world who could get it off him. One of the best ever , represented Czech everytime.
There's absolutely no reason to hate this guy as a player! Those 4 "Thumbs down" have no clue what a true hockey player is!! I'd be happy just to be able to play hockey at 40, at any level... he's still playing great at the highest level!!! Dam you knees, hip and back.... DAM YOUUUUU !!!!!
Its so inconceivable that he won his only two cups in his first two season...despite all his career success...I'm not knocking him over it just figured he'd have had more cups to his name but its why the Stanley cup is the most elusive of all the pro championship trophies
I had devils season tickets as a kid in the mid eighties. I used to go to the glass to watch the teams practice pre-game, and was able to catch the penguins up close and believe me Jagr was/is a beast of a man this guy is a legit monster!
I was in the last row in the first level right behind the net he scored into along with my dad. We jumped so high that our hands went up through the suspended ceilings above us. Deafening! I can still see the scoreboard lit up with JAGR!
And the king of even strength hockey. For example in 1995-96 when Mario won the Art Ross with 161 points and 82 even strength points, Jagr had 149 points and season record 98 even strength points. Update February 2022: Jaromir Jagr turned 50 (fifty years old) and STILL plays hockey.
People also don't realize that this guy was in the KHL for 4 years in the midst of his career. Amazing player.
cant blame him.. he did earn quite a bit more money than he would have in nhl
And the 3 lockouts during his prime.
OneEyedKeys the early 1990s was high scoring, fortunately that wasn't during his prime so no one can say his stats were inflated.
+zhacce It was not just about money, he had to show that he still has his price in the NHL already thought that his best years are already behind
One of the best. He will surely be inducted into the hockey hall of fame.
+Andrew Massa Maybe they'll induct him twice for good measure.
+Christian Escudero Maybe. He is now 3rd all time for goals in the NHL.
Well he has to retire first to be eligible. So there's a chance he'll never make it into HHoF.
+Kaikistakovin His name will be there but he will see it from heavens because this guy is going to die on ice :)
+Kaikistakovin he did retire. Then he came back
"There's only four people in whole rink he didn't deke, and three of them are ushers."
CLASSIC
for years i thought he said "russians"
Good ol' Harry Neele
And this is all despite three years in the KHL. Jagr, my man!
and two seasons shortened by lockout and one season cancelled by lockout altogether
god bless that man.
Why would God bless himself?
+Tai Lopez ahhahhahah
+Tai Lopez bcs he is son of hockey God
Fuckin' a!
Jagr bless god you mean...
G.O.A.T. (Only behind Gretzky) Imagine what would've happened to the records if he didn't leave for 4 seasons to the KHL.
+S-MSniper i think he would of passed the 2000 point mark
+S John he could HAVE done it
He wouldn't be as good as he is right now, he said it even himself. How media and nearly everything works in KHL, he was able to be much more stress-free and do everything like he wanted to. When he came back, he added a little bit of that to how he plays and does things.
He still wouldn't catch Gretz.
S-MSniper Mario.is better.
I loved watching Jagr and Straka play together
Saint Jagr!! I'm russian, I have hated him when we lost Olimpic final at Nagano 98. And now I hope that he will stay for one more season at NHL because I want to see the best hockey player I have ever seen!
If you are russian so you know why he has the number 68? Because Czechoslovakian 1968.
@@dusanmann yes i know, so? Do you think every russian like what soviet did? Or what dictator doing todays?
Czech LEGEND!
And now the 2nd all time leading point scorer. Congrats Jagr!!!
I'm Swedish. And we had some really nice players over the past. But still i think Jagr is the best and most complete player ever.

Not complete but he’s a top 10 of all time.
No jo no, Jarda je prostě borec 😃
Jagr played such a beautiful game
Titans of Hockey! Jagr is ALWAYS ready to give it all NHL, Olympics, or World Championship.
Legend!
Jagr is such an awesome player .
Love this guy. Amazing player. Amazing career. Still going strong.
As a young Penguin fan when he was here I didn't understand how good he was. Thanks for the refresher!
I can't wait to see Jagr score his 3000th point at the age of 116.
Best stickhandler and moves ever. Top 3 player in history easily
Seen him play twice. Once back in the early 90's with Mario. Then again a couple months ago. Players like him don't come around often. So it's been amazing to watch him live. Class Act, first ballot hall of famer. But I think he still has a couple years left in him.
His name isn't Jaromir Jagr......his name is LEGEND!!!!!!!!!!!
jo no :D

No, he's not😂😂
Jágr playing in Czech extraleague, HC Rytíři Kladno!!
He is awesome guy! Greetings from Finland!!
probably favorite player all time
+JewUnit6
He's up there. Just a 100% skilled player and he was so unbelievable to watch in his prime.
Got to watch him play for the Panthers for a season. Every time he was on the ice my eyes were on him. He was amazing to watch and I was lucky enough to witness a few of his record breaking games. He’s still playing now over seas. He’s a machine.

Великий и скромный гений. Его помнит и любит весь хоккейный Омск.
I hope he plays well into his 60s :P
Jagr is just amazing
One of my favorite players of all time, you don't know hockey if you don't love Jagr!!!

Za mě nejlepší hráč všech dob!!!
Great initiative! The fans’ questions are 1000 times better; no more journalists.

Joseph Penguin O hope not, he needs to go to Edmonton and help the Oilers win the cup in 2018👍
an absolutely remarkable career, and he seems like a good guy, as well!
He'll still be playing 10 years from now. What a beast!
Halfway there!
I'm proud to be Czech cos we had him in the national team and still makes our country noticeable overseas
*****

we have Dominik Hašek too... I know not many young people know him, but he had awesome career too...
We can mention something but they are forgotten or they don't play 30 years like Jágr :D
Tennis - Martina Navratilova (Wimbledon - Winner of most Ladies' Singles titles 1978, 1979, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1990)

...and hopefully more :)
Don't forget about Emil Zátopek, he won 3 medals in Helsinki 1952, 5000m, 10000m and marathon...
watching these videos makes you really appreciate how the butterfly goalie style really changed the entire game.
"Is this kid good or what?" That sounds too weird.
Jagr and Lemieux modernized how NHL forwards play to this day.
One of the better players of his time in the NHL. Man was a phenomenal player! Miss the 90s in pro hockey because that's when I fell in love with the sport!
Imagine he makes it to 50 years old and is still playing. This guy's a legend
Dineth Altmann
He can if he plays for a European team in his late forties
seems as though you were right
Over the last 40 years Pittsburgh fans have been blessed with 3 of the best players of all time. Lemieux, Jagr and Crosby and 2 of them played together for years. Amazing
And one of those will probably still play after Crosby's retirement
i love seeing old clips just to watch the goalie, their stance compared to the butterfly stance goalies are in these days is insane, never seen straighter feet on a goalie
best stat ever.....he has the most game wining goal bt far
One of my favorites
Wow he’s one of the best!
One of the best to ever lace em up
One of the best of all times.
Epicest mulletest epic mullet ever.
Amazing
Propably my favourite player
Jagr's unbelievable. Crazy though how far Gretzky put himself away from everyone though. I mean, it's not even close.
+camelCase Entertainment to expand on your comment, the Great One had 1963 career assists. +William Ershen lol that's a good point and just mind blowing.
Gretzky just happened to play in the right era, had he played in the 21st century, his numbers would be far lower
+Musicrecords10 yes but at the time he played to be able to dominate like that is insane
***** You also have to understand he had bodyguards because of his skill, players knew if you went after Gretzky, you'd get killed.. so in a sense he kinda avoided the messy stuff
Flames fan , really enjoyed having him on the team . Wished it had worked out better and he had stayed longer .
Jagr was a marvelously skilled player . If he wanted to rag the puck there isnt a player in the world who could get it off him. One of the best ever , represented Czech everytime.
Nice jobs,thanks share
National treasure. Proud to be Czech!
There's absolutely no reason to hate this guy as a player! Those 4 "Thumbs down" have no clue what a true hockey player is!!

The legends 👌
I'm so lucky to be old enough that I saw 99 when he was scary also Mario ,jaromir , wendel clark ,......good hockey!
You mean because he's good? Brilliantly insightful.
And also love for the haircut.
Legend !!! 🇨🇿🇨🇿🇨🇿🇨🇿🇨🇿🇨🇿🇨🇿🇨🇿🇨🇿
I had devils season tickets as a kid in the mid eighties. I used to go to the glass to watch the teams practice pre-game, and was able to catch the penguins up close and believe me Jagr was/is a beast of a man this guy is a legit monster!
The Best!!!
Happy fifties birthday Jaromir !
I was sitting in the upperdeck of the Civic Arena in Pittsburgh when he scored an incredible OT goal against the NJ devils and the rest is history
I was in the last row in the first level right behind the net he scored into along with my dad. We jumped so high that our hands went up through the suspended ceilings above us. Deafening! I can still see the scoreboard lit up with JAGR!
Jagr rocks
too good
Watch Jagr score against many of his future teams
Jagr is legend of world
i
Yea we do !
Wow,he was good back in the day 🏒🥅
Jager is the goat
good man!
He switches teams alot
Calgary legend Jaromir Jagr
Someone sign this man
I mean how lucky are us Pittsburgh fans, Mario, Jagr , Sid and Geno… unreal talent.
Looks like a nice guy
Greatest player in the game today
That hair is def getting the nod to the HHOF
And the king of even strength hockey. For example in 1995-96 when Mario
won the Art Ross with 161 points and 82 even strength points, Jagr had
149 points and season record 98 even strength points. Mario made his
vision of the ice and his skills come to better use, but Jagr was
instead all raw technical skill and strength, that is why he was such an
exciting player to watch too, especially one-on-one (or one-on-three
;)). If Mario had Jagr's stickhandling I think you'd have the perfect offensive player... or perhaps it would just be a big mess of a mix :P Of course Lemieux was a very good stickhandler too (like most other attributes), but more sweeping style, and less about beating guys one-on-one.
Only one 🔥
I would love to see him in Pittsburgh one more time
