I was disappointed that Donald and Della were left out of this episode. It would have been more interesting if they were in it and also took sides the way Scrooge’s parents did. I could see Donald siding with Scrooge being a way for him to relate to being the responsible sibling who doesn’t get credit and gets overshadowed by the more reckless irresponsible sibling, which would set Della off and have her siding with Matilda because she thinks Donald looks down on her. The triplets and Weby also end up taking sides somehow. It is cliche, but it would have been a great way to focus on existing clashes or ones the show never touched on to have them resolve or at least come to understand the other side better and act as character development.
For example Scrooge could realize his jabs at Donald can be a bit mean spirited and he admit on screen he is proud of Donald the same way his dad did with him in the last Castle McDuck episode. The episode we got was fine, but it really felt like a missed opportunity for how the main characters could have gotten character development by having four generations of the clan together in an episode.

It was incredibly disappointing. We all know they probably have fights all the time. Pretty much any time they have an interaction with each other. The first time we ever see them together, they were fighting about being alone on Christmas. The second time, they screamed about... actually they just screamed and then kind of caught up since there was an invasion going on.

I understood the point of the episode, but Webby still annoyed me a little anyway. Families fight. It wasn't going to be the end of them and if the fight had been bad enough to remain permanant, then it would have meant there was underlying issues long before she came along. Ms. Beakley sheltered her more than I originally thought.

A detail I loved that wasn't pointed out in the video: Matildas flower.
Don Rosa has a running gag with Matildas hat and the flower in it. For every new panel, the flower loses one of its petals. Now, this gag isn't as easy to do in animation, so I understand why they skipped it. But I love that they still gave her the flower. In present day she wears it in her hair, and in the old photos she has it in the same sort of hat that Rosa always drew her with, and I love that little detail.
Plus, I love the casting gag of having an incarnation of the Doctor (Tennant, the 10th) and The Master (Michelle Gomez, Missy) from Doctor Who as siblings. As a Whovian and a Donaldist, it warms my heart when one references the other.

I think Webby's a clone of Della that F.O,W,L. created some time after their first encounter with Scrooge (in the next episode) in order to find the Papyrus of Binding which can now only be found by Scrooge's true heir as a result of "the first adventure" and I think Beakley (who, herself, might've worked for F.O.W.L. at some point, seeing as their ideals somewhat align) rescued and hid away before they could use her. It'd explain why she'd lie about being Webby's grandma, why she's always been so overprotective of her, why the return of F.O.W.L. seemed to be driving her over the edge in "the Impossibin", and even why they'd need Scrooge's DNA again, seeing as their previous attempt at creating/raising Scrooge's heir to find it failed. Webby's similarities with Della's have been pretty obvious since the second we met the latter and having her be a litteral clone of the boys' mother would cement her as a blood relative (even though she already fits in the family just fine regardless).

One episode where the triplets were being verbally assaulted only to act like nothing happened in the end. Matlida is now the youngest sister? Huh, thought Hortense was in the comics anyway. Blot and Pepper have the fun dynamic that would've made them a fun pair of recurring characters, similar to the B.A.D. G.U.Y.S from Green Eggs and Ham (good show btw) and...Pinky and the Brain I guess. Also why is Donald and Della left out of seeing their grandparents lol (I mean that would have been TOO many characters for one episode but still, would've had another sibling dynamic for comparison). A little lesser of an episode that still had its moments. Far from one of the greats though.

She is so diferent from the original Matilda, she was characterised for being a sweet, gentile, and sensitive duck in contrast to her grumpy explosive sister, and i know is nessesary to make a few changes, and that this show doesnt want just to repeat what is already done but at least they could have respect the esence of Matilda, i think I feel so dissapointed because she and Matilda used to be my favorite ones from Life and times of scrooge MC duck, but okay i Also dont like her because she is so similar to other characters in the show, the fun, a little weird woman, Della and webby are so similar to her ( even with the hair) and its kind of overused. love ducktales but i didn't like Matilda

To be honest, this episode was the biggest dissapointment of the entire series.
I feel like the show runners tried to do a little too much in this episode. Not only did it try to adapt arguably the greatest Don Rosa's uncle Scrooge story (A Letter From Home) it also tried to push the family feud theme a little too hard.
It is extremely frustrating seeing Webby not being able to understand the idea of a family fight even though she has lived in the SAME HOUSE with the triplets for far over a year.
I also find Pepper super annoying.
