I bought the GPC-13E to use in the country band I'm -playing in. The sound , action and comfort of playing is amazing. I have tried a few different Martins over the years but they just didn't give me the "Buy Me " feeling that I got when I played this one. The tuner inside is a great feature. I love it.

I got to play with a d10e in guitar center. Didnt buy from them cuz theyre arseholes and wanted full price for a floor model with no case, i actually liked it more than the higher end ones. Sounded warmer and played easier. Probably the same reason i prefer mexican strats over american ones. Playability and tone is very personal and it doesnt matter what the instrument costs.. it matters how much it inspires you.

If I had the money, I'd get me one of these guitars as well. To me it doesn't matter if the guitar is made in Mexico or in America. All I care about is the sound that I want. I'm totally blind, so the looks of the guitar don't matter to me as much. Thanks again for a great video.

I wanted a guitar to play for just chilling in my living room at night.
    So I bought the 10E
Very much love the overall tonality but extremely disappointed in the volume output when finger picking especially noticeable when fretting the high E string.
It's almost inaudible unless I pluck the crap out of it and even then it is still fairly muted.
Maybe a spruce top may have helped?
Does Martin make a guitar in the same body size that is also warm tone but maybe just a bit more punch? Oh and under $1k
    Very good video review btw.

@@neilmartin99 Ned, I bought the D10-E. I love it, and I do a lot of fingerpicking. However, I bought it for my live acoustic act, so I’m invariably playing it through my PA system. The only time I play it without amplification is when I’m at home. In my mind, it’s a great option for a solo acoustic player/singer. I like the electronics, and how I could easily turn it up or down based on whether I’m fingerpicking or strumming a particular song. The included gig bag is perfect for my purposes as well.

Corey this comparison video of yours is excellent for me, because I am looking to buy one of these Road Series guitars. I have it narrowed down to the 000 body size - either the 000-13e, the 000-10e, or possibly the 000-12e koa, which you featured in a different video. I’d like to get your opinion - first of all, I play pretty much all fingerstyle. I don’t use a pick at all, just fingertips without the nails, and I’d like to get the one that has the most volume and projection. I know they all sound good in their own way, but which one would you choose if you were doing nothing but fingerstyle, and you wanted to get the most volume out of it, whether you’re using a light touch or digging in as well? Thanks, Corey. Keep up the great videos - you’re a great guitar player too!

One of these will definitely be a sizeable upgrade to the FG800. The road series are all solid wood guitars which means more sustain and better tone. The only thing I can say is the pickups in these aren’t that great. I have a Martin GPRS1 road series with an LR baggs anthem and it’s my go to guitar for live playing. Never buy a guitar without a binging. If they don't care about going the extra mile, they know it's a piece. Also, never buy a guitar thats not made of wood. Laminate is for flooring, not guitars.

People must be crazy to buy these - cheap materials and average sound for a lot of money. Better go to ebay or reverb and buy a used Takamine or Furch/Stonebridge

Maybe I would buy these used but brand new...its too expensive and the price oesnt match the quality, sorry, but true

They're not made of cheap materials, these sound better than a good amount of high end guitars I've played honestly.
