The spirit of tinkering is alive. This is awesome!
@@ScythianGryphon Thanks!
The perfect multitool for an HVAC tech. Just need some wire rope cutters for those rooftop condenser jobs.
No its not lol. Gerber Evolution mp650 is much better lol
@@thisfishsmellsgood4084 Yes, but the full kit with the 4 heads, costs about $1300.
This is an incredible concept for MTs! Interchangeable plier heads is genius
@@Primeval5 Thanks!
I love these DIY creative projects that you never know if they will work so it’s always a surprise 😊
@@ToolTechGeek It gets crazy at times!
I've been looking to modify a Leatherman with that exact plier head glad to see it's actually possible
@@andrewbrown875 I really like mine so far!
I bet it can also work as a device to crack walnuts!
@@DanielDan-rg9zw Probably so!
Man that's cool!!! Great work! The new GOAT modular tool!
@@HOLOCULT Thanks!
Congrats you create useful tool) Yes, precision drill press is really important instrument for project like this
@@nick-firstest Thanks!
Thats pretty amazing brother, can you please do a tutorial on how exactly you made it?
👍🏼very cool Hvac. Good work! I really like the swappable plier heads.
I sent this video to Goat. 😁
Thanks! A modular plier head presents all kinds of issues but a lot of potential as well!
@@hvacbudget8600 it’s the only thing the goat can’t do. 😁
Great job again hvac!
Cool I was looking for something like that with a bolt cutting head on it
I like it!
Very cool,
Obviously a version of the Gerber MP 650 evolution. Only issue with those is pri c e and the fact that the plier heads dont retract.
But if make one out of a MP 600 and drill the sides instead of top of the pliers you might be able to get it to slide in for storage, kind of like a Leatherman OHT .might try it myself.
Looks good though ,also looks like it was fun.
Nice job.
@@almolinet Thanks!
Like the enterchangeble tools but don't care for leather man try the Gerber vice grips everything you need with nouthing to have to change into
WTF that is very creative and cool 😎
This is awesome bro
@@thedreampunk Thanks!
@hvacbudget8600 Hey I'm not a safety guy but wouldn't it be better to not use gloves with that big grinding wheel thing. the gloves could get caught up and potentially make your arm a bit more sore than a tiny scratch if some material flies off or the grinder wheel potentially hits your hand. Again just a thought not advise. Other wise really great video. I like these custom ideas a lot and might even be inspired to do something similar to this in the future 👍Definitely give us more ideas with this kind of videos
@@lakupiippu1564 Thanks!
👏👍
Super size for surge in my imagination is a wave-size and not the hydrant-wrench one sized...
very interesting
@@kathleensmith370 Thanks!
Never use gloves when using a griding tool. Better to give your finger an abrasion then to have it broken
How many $ worth is it?
@@mattyvlietstra5017 It took about $70 between the two tools.
Did you make these?
@@urjnlegend Yes, I modded two tools into one.
Leathermab should employ you … or at less have you on a retainer …
Thanks!
@@hvacbudget8600 your welcome.
NOPE I mean, I don't use mine, but I would go get yourself a Gerber Evolution MP650 with a 4 head set. It's hard to find and a little pricey, but it's way better than that janky crap.
I love the channel, but that thing looks like shit. I mean, let's be real you are a tool guy and you know what I'm talking about. There is much better out there if you can find it and want to pay for it.
Mine hasn't even been opened and I will probably sell it 1 day for a $1000. But yeah, you can find them for about four hundred dollars with several heads used.
The problem is Gerber doesn't sell wire strippers. And if I break the Gerber heads there isn't a reliable place to restock them even for a crazy price.
@hvacbudget8600 Now, seeing i'm wondering, I believe it has a lifetime warranty, and i'm guessing that gerber does have a supply of extra heads just four replacement warranties. I could be wrong, but I bet they have several boxes of extra parts because I know for a fact SOG Does because I have gotten parts replaced on the original paratrooper model multiple times.
