Kendrick is specifically talking about Drake’s identity because for years Aubrey has claimed that he’s “hood” even though he does NOT come from that background. Not to mention all the instances of him pretending to be jamaican. He’s talking about Drake’s very obvious identity crisis.
Kendrick would never call Common or J-Cole or any other bi-racial rapper white because they don’t have an identity crisis.
I don't think the issue is him being biracial, I think it has more to do with him being Canadian and this tough guy/gangsta persona he's trying to put on. If you puff your chest out enough, eventually someone is going to cave it in, and that's what's happening here imo. Drake is used to playing chess with checker players. I also think he was slightly gassed when Cole kicked it off, not realizing Cole was gonna double back. Either way, it's entertaining and safer than watching Chris and Quavo 😂
