I know. Very cool, and a modern rarity. Most people's situational awareness is terrible. As we can see elsewhere on this very video...The steps are icy...snow everywhere...bannister right there...but no, I got this. This dude not only used the bannister and lowered his center of gravity, he also came prepared to improvise. Hats off!

@@djihtiandr319 Exactly. I wouldn't be surprised at all if that last guy didn't have a concussion. Knew a guy that way permanently disabled from a paint can falling off a shelf. Had a brain injury that most likely was the end result of him dying in his 50's.

Yeah. That one guy though... The back of his head looked like it nearly connected with the raised portion/step. I knew someone that died after hitting their head on the concrete parking bumper when falling. Glad it looked like no one was seriously injured.
It would be funnier if those people didn't fall on purpose...but they fell on purpose to amuse their friends.

That first one is scary af. Had either one of those guys been positioned a coupe inches differently, they easily could have been flung straight to the ground. Watching it at 50%, you can really see just how narrowly they missed getting dragged right over the edge.
People don't appreciate the danger involved in the jobs that build the world around us. These are the people who are responsible for everything that we enjoy. They can lose their lives in an instant, and nobody outside of their family will bat an eye about it or remember them.

Having worked on sites like that for years before I retired, the number of crazy things I've seen *almost* happen has been a bit much. I was lucky in that I never had anything too scary happen to me, and never was unlucky enough to see somebody get hurt bad. Some of the guys I worked with had stories that were truly traumatic, though--seeing somebody fall 20 storeys to their death is the kind of thing that almost nobody remains unchanged from. Life is precious, and safety regs are always written in blood.

Looked like a public building. May not have known where the shutoff was. Hopefully a maintenance guy was on duty.
Double door with regulation fire exit sign tells it's some kind of hotel lobby or similar. Maybe no one there has access to the utility room.
You make a lot of money by licensing such videos to all the compilation channels, that's why a lot of people are filming or making such stuff on purpose

Judging by the water flow, I’d say that is likely a ruptured sprinkler pipe. This is definitely a commercial building. Probably a hotel lobby. I also am confused by the mess on the floor as that doesn’t look like anything I know of. So, again pointing to broken sprinkler as that water isn’t always the cleanest lol.
As for why no one is trying to shut it off, the answer is probably:
A) Inexperienced staff that have no idea what to do and don’t have access to the utilities room.
B) Random customers who have no idea what to do and don’t have access to that room.
C) No one on shift has access to it due to it being night.
D) A combination of the above.
