I think that’s why they were so terrifing to the vampires. They couldn’t understand why the Belmonts would lay down their lives for other humans
They (the Belmonts) were continuing on Leon’s promise to his fiancé. When she was in the process of being turned into a vampire, she sacrificed her soul to the Vampire Killer whip, which is the Belmont families primary weapon (in the show it’s the Morning Star so it’s not the same weapon), but she said that she didn’t want anybody else to suffer the same way she did, and Leon promised her that he (and in extension the Belmont family as a whole) would make sure to keep humanity safe. It also didn’t help that the Belmonts also had innate Holy Magic in their blood, which made them much much stronger against creatures of darkness. The Belmonts mixed with their holy magic and the Vampire Killer made them feared amongst all sorts of monsters, hell, Trevor was powerful enough that Dracula assumed that he single-handedly not only killed an entire army of monsters but also his strongest general (Hector).

What I really love about Trevor was how he took the worst beatings out of everyone in the series. This man got smacked around constantly but always got back up for more, hell the last two episodes he was just running on fumes, he’s a perfect example of humanity tenacity.

The first seasom of castlevania was so good the way the introduce every character, so for the later seasom everyone already love them, im so happy to being able to enjoy castlevania at this point in my life

This show was so enthralling and I love the moments like this when there’s no background music. It gives the show such an amazing atmosphere and identity
While he was painted as the last and disgraced Belmont he still lives and remembered their teachings despite saying harsh words of it.
He kept that mindset even while he fought against a seemingly unkillable entity, what a man Trevor.
And thus began the greatest bromance of the series.
