Nah, you dont know what it takes to be a hero. Heroes are those who can bring miracles into reality. Heroes never sacrifices anyone. That's why they can bring forth miracles because it will take a miracle to save all, absolutely. Heroes even go the extent of saving their enemies. Those people who shared the same qualities as a hero but are willing to make sacrifices and kill villains to ensure the safety of the majority are called GUARDIANS. YES. The difference between HEROS and GUARDIANS is the power. Arch-Bishop: For twenty years now have I served you and God as the Arch-Bishop to Târgoviște Cathedral. Yet never before have I felt the love of God shine so upon this great city. A little more than one year ago, many of us suffered a vision during the God-willed punishment of a witch in our midst. The Devil himself came to us and threatened us with doom in one year! And yet, here we are. The Devil lied! Why should we be surprised?
(Clouds begin to cover the sun... )
Arch-Bishop: Do we not know the Devil for a liar? Do we not know his works to be illusions? Of course we do! Illusions and falsehoods hold no fear for us, for we are the righteous of Târgoviște, living as if cradled in the love of God!
(…and blood rains from the sky. As people scream, the cathedral's windows explode, raining huge shards that impale the Arch-Bishop and his canons, and Dracula's face appears in the sky.)
Dracula: One year. I gave you one year to make your peace with your God. And what do you do? Celebrate the day you killed my wife. One year I gave you, while I assembled my armies. And now I bring your death. You had your chance.

If a giant flaming head showed up after I killed his wife and told me I got one year to make peace with myself and leave. I would’ve packed my shit, changed my name, and moved across the whole damn world

Imagine being told to run away with a year headstart by a big flaming face and not heeding it's warning. Literally your fault if you died.

The real Vlad Tepes also impaled people on stakes.
First he did that to captured Ottomans.
Then to his own people. Dude was crazy

Ye but the real Tepes wasn't a vampire god so clearly this show isn't about the real guy.

Honestly felt bad for the children, legit worst parents of the century if Dracula himself said you had a year to leave the city and you as parents decided to carry on with your children there

In their defence, if a face made of fire began talking to me on a bonfire, I'd start believing in black magic too

When the woman being burned said "Don't hurt them they don't understand" it reminds me of that one part in the bible where Jesus was being crucified and he called out to God not to punish mortals for crucifying him

Humanity itself is its own enemy. Truthfully dracula enjoyed and loved his wife only to have his happiness be taken away a bunch of crappy people and self righteous jackass of a priest! Totally on Dracula's side here

Dracula had every reason to be pissed off. And he was fair in his judgment on them. So, they have no one to be mad at.

    After Lisa’s death
Big G: so, what’s this about a new arrival?
Big S: well, it’s Lisa Tepesh… you know, Dracula’s wife.
Big G: oh…. Oh… erm, that’s not good is it?
Big S: No, afraid not, want me to reign him in, before something happens?
Big G: …. You know what, considering she was using her knowledge to heal the sick, and help those in need… I’m going to let this one slide.
Big S: wait, SERIOUSLY! You DO realise what he intends to do!?
Big G: yes… and we will need to put a stop to it, I have something in place for that… but sometimes the only way children learn is by teaching them a lesson… a HARSH lesson.
Big S: Harsh, as in GENOCIDE!
Big G: one does not kill an Angel without there being consequences. Let Dracula shed his grief, then enact our contingency.
Big S: (sigh) very well, you’re the boss… I just hope you know what you’re doing.
    (Big S leaves)
    Big G: so do I.
