Modern Warfare Remastered is one of the better remastered in the last couple of years. Call of Duty 4, which came out in 2007, really shows it's age now. The improvements in textures and lighting are really evident here, and it brings new life into this modern classic. The look and feel of the game is exactly how it should be. My only gripe is with the change in gun sounds, some guns don't feel as powerful as they use to. This is probably just a nostalgia thing, but I don't see why they need to change the gun sounds, especially when fans get so attached to stuff like that. Either way, it doesn't ruin the game, and I'm sure we'll all get use to it fairly quick.
COD 4 doesn't really have cutscenes, as the story takes place mostly through in game actions. We tried to play it more cinematically this time around. We made sure to play it slow, and stay with our squad instead of trying to be a one man army. We cut out a lot, as big chunks of the missions are just big firefights that don't push the story forward. For that reason there might be some memorable set pieces missing, but felt that they weren't all necessary.
In 2011, a civil war has broken out in Russia between its government and ultranationalists who seek to restore Russia to its Soviet-era glamor. Meanwhile, a separatist group led by Khaled Al-Asad seizes power in a "small but oil-rich" country in the Middle East through a coup d'état. Al-Asad is ruthless and has extreme anti-Western views, which prompts the United States to invade the country. In the afternoon of the second day of invasion, a platoon of USMC 1st Force Recon is sent to capture Al-Asad.

"That was my first thought, but your arse had all the C4."
_-Captain Price, 2007_
2007, when COD 4 was released. 2011, is the year in the events of COD 4
A classic
wrong call of duty modern warfare takes place in 2011
"What kind of name is Soap,eh? How did a muppet like you pass selection?"
*4 years later*
"SOAP!! OH NO NO NO! SOAP!!"

Jack Marston Child well mw2 was set in 2018
You're all super gay. Modern Warfare is back btw.

"What the hell kind of name is soap, eh? How'd a muppet like you pass selection"
My God! What an iconic quote that is aye!
KroniccKrona1
Price's first words: WHAT KIND OF NAME IS SOAP??
Price's last words: SOAP? SOAP?! NO NO NO NO NO! SOAP!
PS86 Draws Stuff this is for soap in the last mission cod mw3
because instead of vaseline, he use FUCKING SOAP! lol!
PS86 Those aren't Price's last words.
soap: a code name about washing out certain habits or traits in expense given others
All these years and still sad that Gaz died
Mista Awesomeness whether it's true or not it doesn't make us feel better, considering that he survived a headshot only to be betrayed and burned
Mista Awesomeness what? no he isn't
Mista Awesomeness he ain't. you cannot servive a 50. cal at point blank range on that part of the skull.
Christopher Barnes yes he yelled gas
But he didn't yell Gaz*
Gaz is ghost and he did survive the shot to the head tho funny don't ya think
The fact that you can watch this in full like a movie just shows how well designed this game was. I got this when it first came out and couldn’t put it down. Years later after playing the new COD b.s I just randomly thought back on modern warfare 4 and have nothing but great memories. This game was amazing. My gosh!
The best ever..... So we'll written and done... Modern warfare 1,2 and free best stories
can we just remember when games had campaigns just as good if not better than the multiplayer
Those days people mainly bought it for the campaign. Multiplayer was like an add on extra to continue ur experience. I think it was around BO2 that i preferred multiplayer more over the campaign.
But with the current state of COD Im glad that Modern Warfare is back. Really looking forward to it
There’s plenty of games that are story based. Or are you just referring to cod in particular?
eating too much rememberries ?
Ive been saying this for years and ill continue to say it in terms of these legendary games
"Get on your feet soldier, WE ARE LEAVING!!!"
still get goose bumps from that a decade after the game came out.
it's been, what, almost five years since COD4 original, and even now I still get chills when I see the nuke..
9 years actually, and yeah the scene is done so well
Gamer's Little Playground damn, that's right. I like the fact that the player in this version reached to grab Volker. Felt a lot more raw.
Lyrekem 9 years actually
Rocket 11 years actually
Always wondered who rescued Mcmillan and price at the end of the one shot one kill mission
Cap. Price: ''Gaz holds the current squadron record at 19 seconds. Good luck."
Veteran Players: *laughs in british*
Me, a newbie shooter player: 👁👄👁
bri'ish
Gaz: “... and 15,000 nukes at stake”
Price: “BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR”
I thought my earphones were malfunctioning
I like on how the guy playing knows what he's doing, and is seemingly roleplaying like the protagonist. Other videos like this has some dude jumping around with an AK, when the protagonist is supposedly Marine Force Recon.
the guy playing just sucks, it's implied that in some parts he died in what it seems a amateur enemy level.
@@rweskperpsn I'm pretty sure this guy is playing on Veteran which is the highest difficulty. He nearly dies from a few shots everytime
@@J07911 nah, he did "friendly fire" and killed comrades and didn't lose the mission.
@@J07911 my man watch those final missions and tell me again with a straight face that you think that was veteran. he was on regular
@@rweskperpsn you're here to watch the cutscenes though chill
At 1:08:56 captain McMillan almost tripped over a chair
Lol thats funny
felt like foreshadowing that he'll have a leg injury
I can't believe you interrupted Macmillan's "oi Suzy!" line, you fucker lol
Seathan O'Cinnéadh yeah I was a little salty too
Yeah he isn't too good at this...
Lol that was my only problem too xD
1:44:33
Price: Gaz, can't you make it open faster?
Gaz: Negative, sir. But you can try pulling if it'll make you fell better
I never get tired of listening to that :)) Gaz almost cracked a laugh.
Dragos Radu lmao
1:41:34 cheeky bastard
he meant 1:41:30
0:20 this aged well
38:40 Gaz is doing pelvic thrust. XD
I remember when this first came out 10 years ago playing the AC-130 mission was the most badass/epic mission I've ever played. Still holds true till this day!
I remember on veteran this is where I got all my payback from lmao
Fo sho
I love this game and especially the ending. Stopping the nukes might make you think that war is cool and badass but when you find yourself on the bridge, with nowhere left to run, and the enemy slowly killing all your friends while walking towards you reminds you that war is not a game. I mean, in the end you manage to avoid the war and survive, plus you kill the bad guy, but that is far from the happy forever after ending
true, a real war is hell video game can make it look cool
6:58 Gaz: "The ship's sinking! We've got to go NOW!
Big Bird: "Bravo Six, come in dammit!"
Price: "Big Bird, this is Bravo Six. We're on our way out! On your feet soldier! WE ARE LEAVING!"
Mw(2019) price:ON YOUR FEET WE ARE LEAVING
HOLY SHIT GUYS!!! I JUST REALIZED, ITS SGT. Wallcroft at 2:52 He's the SAS Sgt. At MW3 Who handled the Chemical Attacks along with Sgt. Burns. Of all these years of playing COD I only now just realized that.
So was Griffin.
Holy shit your right
It all falls together
I think that’s only in the remaster tho
@@leaked_toilet4526 Nah. It was in the original too
Also wanted to add, incredible how much work you put in to make it feel like a movie. Waiting, creating suspense, catching dialogue and also making your character not feel unpredictable on/off. Really appreciated. Musta been tough never skipping.
You can't skip dialogue in COD👀👀
I've just realized Griggs died pulling Soap OUT of cover
LyKr even when this game came out i was like "why didn't they just stay there...where the gun was?" lol
Xavier Taylor i
Griggs died pulling Soap AWAY from cover that was about to explode.
roleypoleyguacamole if it exploded how come captain Price didn’t die? He was right next to said exploding car
@@nova260q7 probably exploded after soap was pulled away then price walked up to it to give covering fire but twas too many peopl
0:19 Holy shit they predicted the future!
Someone beat me to the joke
hmm looks like it didn't happen. Tho... France on the other hand
Griffen and Wallcroft are in MW3.
Yep,what was it,a Captain right?
Griffen dies if i am not wrong
sure does
@@DrSabot-A he was a Sgt.
Yes they are in MW 3 and unfortunately both die during the Chemical Attack.
You guys are seriously the greatest thank you for this upload
Thanks for watching bro
Best Call of Duty. Ever. Of all time.
48:03 little things like loading the Mk 19 is what I like about this remaster.
Love the little details they've added. Just in the first mission, the cracked visor effect and the lights flickering out on the ship right after you make the jump are just perfect. I'm glad they did more than just update the textures.
1:00:10,
This, this cutscene right here. The emotion in it is unreal!
16.13
Price:"Gaz,you smell that?"
Gaz:"Yeah sry,that must've been me"
16:13
Ahhh good old Call of Duty days. 2007-2011. Amazing times. Finish school Friday straight home Xbox on for a 15 hour cod session with the boys 👌🏼 Memories that will hold a special place in my heart forever. Thank you COD
0:25 when Gaz said " *BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR* ", I felt that on a personal level.
CoD 4 had the best soundtrack
That's what happens when Hanz Zimmer does a videogame score
world at war
Or any score. Hard to call any one composer 'best' but just listen to some other pieces by Zimmer such as 'A Small Measure of Peace' (The Last Samurai OST) or some pieces from the other MW games.
Hans Zimmer only did the main theme. Lorne Balfe wrote everything else.
Random Dude
For CoD, right?
I love how at 8:10 it's different than it was in the first game. As far as I remember, anyway. Before, Price just turned and saw you slipping. Now, one of the SAS sees you and grabs Price's attention by pointing at you. To which Price turns, tosses his gun to the floor, and reaches out for you. So much more detail added to scenes like this really make me love well-remastered games. It's all about the added in subtle nuances that are there NOW simply because 1) they couldn't have been added in then. And 2) hindsight really is 20/20 as far as what could have been originally there that wasn't. OMG I LOVE THIS GAME!!!
53:35 The part I was looking for.
Legendaryvenomz 1:53:35 THATS THE PART I WAS LOOKING FOR
Poor guy who fell out, never learned he's name but I always remember him as Bob, poor Bob
Ya bob was great but he never paid the money he owed me
I always tried to walk into that building at the end of the playground just to fail each and everytime
What a Gentleman! 19.8 seconds on the FNG training segment. We wouldn't wanna take the record from Gaz on our 1st day.
The new Modern Warfare has me playing 2 and 3 again. Such good campaigns probably my favourite of the franchise.
The nostalgia OMG
The remaster of the nuclear detonation scene is the gem of this masterpiece of a game.
Back when the COD’s had effort, a reasonable and plausible storyline, and good characters. I miss the old days.
1:46:15 Honestly my favorite moment of dialogue throughout all of the MW games.
right when I was going to school
When I was in jr high
goldden guy when I was in elementary
+Thru Gaming XD
+Thru Gaming XD
yeahh school suck theres no point of eduucation
19:20 if I remember it right, in the original COD4 Kamarov literally sat down.
So he did sit down. I thought I was just making it up
I love how people are complaining about how slow he was going... read the description...
Really makes you feel like throwing chairs through windows
"on your feet soldier! WE ARE LEAVING!"
might just be my favourite quote out of price in all the games
Great Graphics They did a good job on this one 💯💯
Chrisfromthe6 6i hell yea they did
"Surely you cant be serious?"
"I am serious, and dont call me Shirley"
God that Airplane reference.
53:44 Is everything ready? Do it.
53:52 Thousands of souls, extinguished, by a push of a button.
53:56 Understand, Yuri. This is only the beginning.
9:12 is the soundtrack of childhood
the best cod game ever made
mw2 :D
Mw2is the best
Cod 2 was best
BO1 is the best
@Primordial Vengeance sucks? Are you serious?
I like the subtle gestures Price and Gaz had at 19:03
the best call of duty they ever made! The one i spent most of my child hood youth playing. Game of the year, and one of the best games of all time. Truly worthy of a remaster. No1 forgets Captain Price, and most missions in the game are truly memorable.
1:28:18 looove that foggy mystic morning, like one of those morning in October/November. I love walking in that atmosphere
thank you for uploading
Thanks for watching
Gamer's Little Playground thanks for letting me like and subscribe
can you play wwe2k17
Thanks for this video. All the memories are coming back :)
Hard to believe that some of the events in this game is happening in real life lmao
That’s funny?
Good shit man. You always deliver.
the jumping from the plane was amazing at the end
The cutscenes for the USMC campaign don't make sense lol they first land on the Persian side of the Arabian Peninsula, then they go rescue War Pig on the Red Sea side of the Peninsula, then War Pig drives through what appears to be Riyadh in the center of Arabia, meanwhile the entire time there's only been heavy fighting in the capital of this country which is at the northern end of the Persian Gulf. IW was all over the place when making those cutscenes lol
The marines are just that good.
Nuke exploded in southern iraq also
Makarov supposedly does this to pull all the US forces into one section where he can explode the nuke while keeping US SF out of reach of his powerful toy. After all this is the man who launched a war against the world.
isnt force recon special forces? so they aren't like regular front liners and would just be exfilled and reassigned onece their op is done? idk
@Salvadore Andretti pardon my ignorance but in MW2 we played as a ranger are those the same 75th ranger regiment who I believe are sf? Again sorry about my ignorance on the topic
such a good story these modern warfare games :o thx for upload!
Thank you for uploading this
I used to memorised every lines of the SAS team's members. Time flies.
“Too much radiation, we’ll have to go around”
ICONIC!!
Thanks so much for this video man
The audio/music/sounds....gets me all the time!!!...wow..good times
This is the shit that i'm talking about. It brought back tons of memories. Thanks 4 uploading ur da best 👍👍👍👍
Who came back here after the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019 :D ????
Kinda makes you sad to see that Kyle is gaz and then watching this
When I was a kid cod4 is the only game on my pc and I kept replaying it, nonstop I was so addicted to the campaign and I didn't know there was a remastered version and now I get to to rewatch my childhood nostalgia but the remastered version:)
This gives me soooooo much nostalgia
Who’s watching after completing MW 2019??
CJ Akume I’m watching before ...I never played mw campaigns only black ops..I’m trying to get all the info first
Every single game you play with a sniper rifle, your aim is on point!
i like that the first training part structure is almost the same as the ship's actual layout
That’s actually what the SAS do, that building is the killing house, and they use it to simulate the layout of their target to practice before the operation, only found that out fairly recently
Had to come back to this after years, I miss this game so much the perfectly executed campaign
19:42 friendly fire.. friendly fire..! cannot be tolerate! you will lose if play veteran difficulty
ActuLly you will lose in every difficulty
It's because he's a noob, try playing like that in R6 siege and your done
I just rolled my eyes and said "trash"
Chikiw smh
It’s supposed to be a game movie, not highly skilled gameplay.
Ha the good ok days when the world was going down and the only people who could save it was a guy named soap and a captain from world war 2
Dan this price is the grandson of the one who fought in world war 2
Thank you for this
I have already watched through all your video.
Even I haven't played this game in the past. But this is the most epic version of COD as I ever watched.
This must be a movie instead of a game.
Its a game all right.
This is what COD should be, but we all long for a day that will never come (at least not sold separately)
I love the modern warfare series i wished they could have made more but they finished this and moved on to being futuristic.I'd say all the games before advanced warfare were all awesome now the games are going to far into the future to keep up with creating games and content that is modern.
thanks man you're a legend
Wow, looks amazing!
This game brings back so many memories, especially back when cod used to be good
when Call of Duty was still awesome(:
Last good one was mw3. After that they started going futuristic.
Canaan B Ghost was still pretty close to our time
nico olsen black ops 2 was also a good game
Modern warfares are still my fav cods nothing will ever change that.
Captain Price in COD4: What kind of name is Soap? How did a muppet like you pass selection?
Captain Price in COD MW 2019: John MacTavish, SAS. Sniper-demolitions. Goes by "Soap". (why?)... That's Classified
Damn those transitions were clean as hell, it really did feel like a movie
i miss the days when COD was great
Thqnk you for no ads
How'd you guys even get this so early!? LOVE THESE VIDEOS
All ghillied up my fav mission of all time aghh i miss this game 🙃
38:41 gaz had a spazz
4 years when you uploaded it but it was like 9 or 8 when I played it
Nostalgia I swear
I always loved that when you shoot the oil barrels and that oil would pour out. nice attention to detail back then
How here after the MW2 remastered trailer dropped?
reasons to buy Modern Warfare Remastered
1/ Campaign in new and modern graphics
2/ Multiplayer now FINALLY have bots (pezbot was glitchy af)
Gaz,Griggs,Ghost,Sandman. Unsung Heroes
THANK YOU SIR!
1:24:25
“Damn this guy moves fast” typical Russian workout
This is the only way they are getting my money!
i would wait a little while, you know they will sell this separate from infinite warfare.they know thats exactly why most people are buying it.
here for my annual visit. gotta watch the series at least once a year. see you in 2022
The intro sounds like heaven and looks like it too.
