Battlefield: Bad Company 2 was a direct sequel to the first Bad Company, and continues where the story left off. The story follows a rag-tag bunch of soldiers as they travel around the world on the hunt for a mythical weapon of mass destruction which absolutely must not fall into the hands of the Russians. Unlikely heroes as they attempt to save the world, and it will take you across a great variety of locations that range from frozen mountains to densely packed jungles.
Bad Company was the first in the Battlefield series to have a real story. Bad Company 2 has the same feel as the first. It has much more humor than we usually see in a story with such a heavy handed mission. It's fun and different from the other Battlefields. A lot of fans have been eagerly waiting the return of this side series, but this has been the last we've seen of Bad Company since 2010.
As always, we have included relevant gameplay, important dialogue and all cutscenes to create one fluid cinematic experience. We hope you enjoy!

For the record, the ending where he says the Russians are invading through Alaska isn't a cliffhanger setting up Bad Company 3, it's a reference to the multiplayer... Half of the maps take place in South America while the other half take place in Alaska, they represent both fronts on the Russian invasion of the US homeland - the implication is that the multiplayer and the campaign are linked and B Company was sent to the Alaskan front to fight in maps like White Pass and Port Valdez immediately after the end credits.
We don't know who ultimately won the war, but we do know based on the timeline of the maps, and the events of the story, that the Russians suffered some pretty major and critical defeats in their initial invasion, so it's safe to assume they eventually either lost, or had to pull out of US territory.
well but still a good place to make a BC3 because like it or not still a good cliffhanger there is still a war to end
well I think BC3 should go back to the gold bc the legionarrie man is still alive and we don't what happened to the gold when Preston, Redford(sarge), Haggard, Sweetwater took it.

@@mslisiseiuliteo1405 I always assumed that the Army caught them, requisitioned the gold and transferred them to special forces rather than court martial them.
I guess they realized it'd probably be easier to send them on suicide missions than try to keep them locked up.
(And miss July would've stayed with 222nd Battalion, which is why we don't hear her)

i used to play it every day after coming back from school. man those days were golden. since very few people were good at games at the time, we could have fun without getting stomped on. no longer those days can exist today ;(
EA messed up big time deviating from the formula that they used for this Battlefield. This was hands down the best. I don’t even care if they don’t create Bad Company 3, if they decided to do a Bad Company 2 Remake? I’ll play the living daylights out of it and I’m sure a lot of Battlefield players will too.

1:12:27 Preston Marlowe is the most encouraging soldier in bad company, or overall in the Untied States Army. He should be the one that’s leading his men throughout these war zones since they wouldn’t have gotten this far if it wasn’t for him, most of all he should probably be a commanding officer.
Oh man I loved this game back then and i still love it now. Out of all the other earlier Battlefields, this is the one that really got me hooked to Battlefield. But this one in particular I still love it. Gamer's Little Playground great job as always keep it up.

there's actually a CIA paramilitary division called SAD
and I'll also say, it's kind of funny because the soldiers that made up the Bad Co unit were often considered misfits and fuck ups; while going back to the inception of the CIA, the Office of Strategic Services in WWII were made up majority of misfits, criminals and the like. Wonder if that was the inspiration behind Bad Company.

i swear these hilarious characters were a treasure in all of video games history..
From my point of view it has the best campagne too. Music, Characters, Atmosphere. It suited perfectly. Not realistic but it was enjoyable. I liked the personalities of these characters.

44:06 You're supposed to level your gun up at an altitude so the shot can hit. Gravity causes the shell to fall short
you mean the 50 cal helicopter shot, A: its not that far, B: even tho the 50 bmg has a tremendous drop off for being one of the biggest anti material rounds, we are only seing from his perspective, maybe he already zeroed in (but ofc it was unlikely as in bad company 2 there is no zeroing for the sigthts, but the bullet drop was minimal a -150. so the Distance point is still strong)B: also he changes position a little bit when we see the over the shoulder shot of the scene and when we see the muzzle´s pov, And C: he is from an overwatch position in a chopper, and i´ve seen this in videogames with sniping fatures, idk about real life if this applis, but for some reason when you are firing perpendicuarly to a target, the bullet drop is even less (As in, as you are firing to the ground diagonally, the vertical pull is less, and bearely noticeable given distance and bullet speed)
oh the tank shell in heavy metal, yeah, tank shells in bc2 work really weird, i think the cannon is zeroed to aim above the firing reticle a little bit, it is really hard to fire in 3rd person because of it, and for some reason its drop dead accurate at 70-100 meters in multiplayer

It's not stock, but HDTFM ripped out many assets from Half-Life (understandable for part, but lazily and poorly used), Left for Dead and many other games.

i love these charectors so much more then the cartoon charector squad in vangaurd.
The overall plot was better in BC2 than BC1 but when I first played this game I was so surprised how serious and no bullshit these guys got compared to the first one (they barely swore at all in the first one and here they're dropping fuck and shit like hotcakes). I liked both games but I had a lot more fun with the BC1's campaign because it was a much funnier and more relaxed.
Did anyone notice that in this game sweetwater and haggard were less funny and more serious this time with the extra cussing . This was a great game but loved the vibe of battlefield bad company 1
Yep, I’m playing it now and Haggard sounds and acts like a completely different person, Sweetwater is similar enough to how he acts in the first game, Redford does act the same as the first game and Marlow is also acts pretty similar to how he did in the first game.

Bad Company felt like an experiment, bringing Battlefield 2 into better fidelity, but still felt like BF2. Bad Company 2 was like when DICE REALLY shined and made it into it's own fully fledged standalone series, the level design was beautiful, the set pieces astounding.
Why couldn't we have had a Bad Company 3? They left the game on a cliff hanger.
