Call of Duty: Ghosts is set in a near future that follows the nuclear destruction of the Middle East. The oil-producing nations of South America form the "Federation of the Americas" in response to the ensuing global economic crisis and quickly grow into a global superpower, swiftly invading and conquering Central America, the Caribbean, and Mexico.
The game's main protagonists are the Ghosts, a force of U.S. Special Operations personnel trained to conduct clandestine missions behind enemy lines. The unit is led by retired U.S. Army Captain Elias Walker (Stephen Lang). He is joined by his sons Logan and David "Hesh" Walker (Brandon Routh),[11] along with a trained German Shepherd named Riley, Captain Thomas A. Merrick, and Sergeant Keegan P. Russ.
The game's main antagonist is Gabriel Rorke, the former leader of the Ghosts who works for the Federation after being captured and brainwashed by the Federation via torture and hallucinogens.

Massive Cliffhanger at the end.
The story about how the Ghosts got their name is amazing. Followed by a mission where it actually felt hopeless. What a great start of the campaign, and it only gets better. Don't really remember the last time a campaign gave me that feeling of it being a movie instead of a game
the newer games focus more on realism and completely missed the point where it’s a game

I really hope that a sequel comes out. Especially with the ending this game had. Or at least bring Logan and rorke back in another game because I want to know what happens to logan
What happens to Logan is the same thing that happened to rorke when the federation found him, you would know that I ain't lying if u see the after credits scene where Logan is in a hole

I dont think it would of been any good. I mean, I've always wanted Ghosts 2 but... the brother hunting brother story just wouldn't work here. Especially since Rorke lost his entire army at the end of Ghosts.
@@Threat5STAR I do too but it just wouldn't make sense, you know? You can't have missions where you're shooting dozens of enemies if the main baddy doesn't have anyone on his side.

In case anyone missed it, there's a cutscene after the credit where Logan was kept in the same hole they tortured Rorke.
Ik cod isn’t known for its realism, but suspension of disbelief ends where immortality begins. You’re telling me that not only did rorke survive a .44 magnum round going through his sternum, he managed to swim to the surface under his own power and proceed to beat the shit out of the relatively unharmed Logan?
This game showed some of the aspects of CQB and CQC. Story was amazing and had a lot of potential for a series. It’s a shame a lot of people were so harsh on it.
Its a shame anyone saw value in recycled brand merchandising on a recycled daddy issue story.

I honestly like the idea of a Call of Duty taking place in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Lot of potential for level design and dystopian story elements
If I remember correctly. A lot of people didn’t like this game. I loved it. The story was a little different. This was also before call of duty became what it is now. I liked the story And just remember enjoying the shit out of it. Using the dog is bad ass. Appreciate this video, it’s actually pretty cool it’s like watching a movie. LOL. I love it thank you.

I don't know why people give it so much hate,I actually liked the story, with the whole south america teaming up against the US and all of that. My only problem is with the ending,it was a good cliffhanger,but with no second game in sight,I started to dislike it.

I frankly love the fact that I'm so disconnected to the media and the opinions of people in fandoms. I never heard of anything about this game and when I played it I thought it was amazing. Didn't even know that it was considered the worst of the franchise.
Top 3 game I've ever played, the campaign was one of a kind. COD: Ghosts is the black sheep of the entire franchise.

Anybody else consider the end where Rorke dies to be canon instead of him living? Because I do. With how we’re left with this ending until they either create a sequel or don’t, I feel like Rorke dying is the best option.

Fun Fact: Odin is based on a theoretical Weapon of Mass Destruction called "Thor's Hammer" and the US was planning on making it but it never got passed the drawing board due to material issues. . .

I remember being around 13 or 14 when I first played this game and I was excited because it was the only Call of Duty I was allowed to play, and I would play for HOURS.
This campaign (for me personally) is only outshined by the first Black Ops campaign, and Modern Warefare 2 and 3.

The first mission with Riley could have easily been a zombie apocalypse game until the enemy soldiers showed up
Someone commented on the Modern Warfare 2 remake that they had a theory about one of the missions where you all wear ghost masks is Infinity Ward's idea to connect the two games, and serve as an in-universe beginning of the Ghosts shown in this game.

There hasn't been anything that hints to development of a Ghosts 2. It's also been years and other call of duty games have been released in between, big "ambitious" projects. Let's face it, we will be stuck on this cliffhanger for years to come unless some studio truly wants to continue the storyline.
God, I hope the re-make/re-master or even create "Ghost 2" or something! This one was good!
There could’ve been two prequel games that given the rise of the federation and maybe then that game that focuses on the ghosts team would be okay to center upon.
unlike most this was my first cod so this campaign is the most nostalgic

The cutscenes remind me of BC2, while the cutscebes of BC2 used to remind me of COD.

I believe Rorke being drawn to Logan began on the plane. As it was ripped apart, Logan instinctively stopped himself while Elias and the rest fell...
To Rorke; that was a sign of his potential.

Something about the ending, and i theorize from it. I don't think it's to summerize a Sequel or sort but more of a process of sorts. Someone's gonna follow along in Logan's steps. If we remember, Rorke talked about Alvagro as if he was a bounty of sorts. His approach to Logan was like HE was a bounty to him. He only wanted him alive rather then the satisfaction of killing him or/and Hesh. There's no telling if Logan will break like Rorke has because Logan wasn't abandonded or left behind to die. And i know this video's old but I'm pointing it out.
A sequel to cod ghosts would be so amazing!!!
Silent characters tend to make a game suck a little bit, so for this I imagined that Logan actually was mute or simply didn't speak after the events that destroyed his home. It kind of works with the fact that characters, particularly his dad and brother, don't worry about his silence. Like they always talk to him in a way that doesn't expect a reply.

Also the opening scene of the ghosts could’ve made more sense for when in this mission from cod mw ii 2022 where task force 141 and vaqueros help each other out to take back their stolen hq from the treacherous shadow company that they use ghosts 👻 mark balaclavas out of the homage to the original ghosts team of the Tel Aviv war that it gives shadow company scare.
Nahhh Merricks first appearance was golden. The classic “im not gonna respect you cause you’re my bosses sons” kinda guy.

I never played this as a kid...but playing this game has a sort of...sentiment to me that feels like i should have. Like on a rainy summer day when it's too nasty to go outside? Let's go play another run of cod ghosts campaign. At least, thats how I feel about it!
