My dad flew hang gliders for close to 40 years. June 24th 2018 he had a heart attack while flying at njoy field outside of Kankakee IL. Sadly he passed while flying.
I still am in touch with the guys he flew with. They are like uncles to me. I will say that the hang gliding ultra light and para glider community is solid. I love watching these type of videos to remember my father. Good luck stay safe.

This is by far the best tandem setup. You fly it with the mentality of foot launch in terms of power, the wing is super dynamic and it’s incredibly comfortable. You just trade fuel burn for it all.
Sometimes you gotta burn some fuel to have some fun!!!

Oh man, I love that thing. I've always wanted a PPG Trike for being able to haul camping gear. As for the constant torque twist with that power plant & large prop I wonder if mounting the engine a couple of degrees off-center would counteract the torque effect & keep you flying straight?

my instructor does tandem on a similar setup with a rotax 503. He is so fast lol and takeoffs crosswind easy
I’d be really interested to know what the cross country capabilities of that trike are. Trimmed out, with maybe a bag and fuel bladder in the front seat I’d love to know the true speed of it.

However it does have one draw back due to its inverted flight tanks… it won’t do a negative g push over…. Lol

Can you please give some more explanation on the tip steering sometime? How does it compare to just regular brakes? Why was it separate on this wing? Thanks.
Is the kill switch foot operated? I think having a foot throttle and brake is a great idea. He may as well put an electric starter on it.
Useful load? Range? Can you put bigger tires on it for backcountry (tall grass) landings?
