In today's Vlog I will show you how to install GURU shower system pan membrane over your mud job. This is part two of our GURU shower system install. At the end of the video we were able to do a Flood Test. I am a huge believer that everyone needs to be doing a flood test on their shower projects! It's the cheapest form of insurance.
This whole GURU Shower system cost us less than $600, and that is including a 36" linear drain. Its a great deal and great system and that is why I endorse it so much. I do think it is much better quality than Schluter Shower system, laticrete shower system, KBRS shower system.

Floor membrane should go down first. Wall.membrane then overlaps.

Shouldn't the floor liner be the first to get installed, then the wall liner .The way you have it, won't the water get behind the floor liner eventually

I love how you waterproof the whole bathroom floor. I had a problem where the water would seep through the floor as you said.

Can you make a video on bidding or estimating on a bathroom tile job for a walk in shower for an elderly person?

Hi Matt. My shower was just hardyboard, and they created a ‘lip’ on the edge with, it seemed like, a type of concrete. Only thing over that was a pliable sticky substance that came from a bucket, brushed in….forms a waterproof barrier supposedly. I was told I could tile right over this.
Is it enough? Looking at yours it seems so much more….finished. I wouldn’t know whether I should put another barrier atop the one they rolled on.

Hello, what's the link to buy the white mud your using here for the membrane, I searched your materials list, but couldn't find it there

I can't figure out how the linear drain is going to be installed or how its height was established to match the finished tile?

He said he’s doing large format tile, so my guess is he’ll use a 1/2” notch trowel.. which will allow for a lot of play to set the drain. Those drains are pretty easy to adjust to correct height to be flush with tile. Shouldn’t be a big deal brother.

Just trying to make the world a better place 😌 as always love the content man. I tried your popsicle stick trick to caulk inside corners on my last shower and it was a success.
