As an ultrasound tech, i don’t miss school at all. But this does bring back memories of it. Been working as an US for 3.5yrs now. And the schooling was worth it.
that is so crazy .. im in my senior year and have already been accepted into cambridge college & love to watch these videos of sonography students it’s crazy that you go to the same college !!!!
Omg yay!!! Very exciting congratulations 🤍 much love and good luck!!
I’m so glad you posted this video! This is exactly the school I was looking at! I kept trying to find videos on this school but they didn’t have much. And luckily I ran into yours! This is the program I want to go into as well so this is super amazing to see! You have a new subscriber 😊
I’m just starting apply this week for the fall, I’m so excited!!!
Yayyyyyy, Congratulations!! What college did you apply for ??
Awesome video girly!!!👏🏽 Keep it up!
AHHH! Thank You, I love your videos :)
Hey girl glad I came across your video ! I am just now starting my prereqs and am working towards a career as an ultrasound tech as well. Was wondering what year are you on ?
I’m currently in the process of applying for a DMS CAAHAP accredited program! Super excited!
Omgg yay!!! Congrats, let me know how it goes :)
gonna go to school for this
Hey, loved this video! Could you do a video on different things to work on before you apply?
Nice! I'm doing radiography, they're so similar, it's kinda insane lol. Surprised they're not both taught under the same umbrella.
That is really cool! Radiology was my second choice but I'm also surprised at why they are not taught under the same umbrella!! Please keep me posted on your journey ☺️
So weird Im having to do radiography to get into sonography and i can only get into sonography after 2 years after my degree working as a radiographer... Plus sonographer aka US is taught as part of my 4 year course in scotland
@@rolopolo7975 Countries might do it differently. Here a bachelor's in radiography and a bachelor's in sonography are different fields. Both are 4 year degrees + 1 year mandatory internship.
I’m an US tech (been working for 3.5yrs now). The school i went to made us go through the Xray program and get RT(R) registry before we could go through their US program. So i have credentials of RT(R) and RDMS. And the funny part is that i just only wanted to do US. So i can do xrays and US.
Hi babe! Loved your video! Do you think you could recommend me a textbook as far as a beginner but important info for dms to get good foundational info? I’m thinking of the green understanding ultrasound physics book or the sonography scanning principles and protocols. Textbook of diagnostic sonography is a bit too pricey at the moment.
did you go to concorde college and if so do you have to have prerequisites before getting into the program?
I go to college this fall for this! I am so excited!!
Hey Margaret,
That is amazing! You will do great for sure :)
Best of luck!
@@evelyngarcia1016 Thank you :))
After not going to college for 8 years I am now back and doing my pre reqs with the end goal being ultrasound. I feel like this is my calling haha. Have you done the SPI yet? Great vid and thank you so for uploading this!
I have 10 yrs no college and have kids i want to the this too im just terrified of everything ... how has it been going back to college? Im so nervous to even enroll.. 😫
This is literally my dream job
Hi! I’m a jr hs student! I am interested in being a DMS, i was wondering when you graduate and get hired, do you have to work nights/can you chose a flexible schedule?
Is this course hard? I’m planning to do this course but I suck in school lol!
It is necessary for sonography student to take science in 12th? i am an art student.
Hey i am looking into this field . What did you go to school for for your undergraduate?
video is so usefull and nice❣️
Thank you so so much!!!! I appreciate the feedback 🙃
I’m applying for my sonography program this summer! Random question, what are your shoes called/where are they from??🫶🏼
Hey Evelyn, your video was fun to watch . Thank you for sharing! Have you taken SPI?
Thank you! I truly appreciate it 🤍
Not yet will soon ahhhhh!
I’m trying to get into your school now! How long are your class days normally?
Or would you recommend a 2 year program?
loved your video! i’m super interested in sonography as a hs student, did you ever take an anatomy class in high school?
Hey Koko,
I was never offered anatomy in highschool! Did you?
hi, im a freshman in my program for dms, just to lyk from my experience i took no anatomy classes but this is a very interesting and exciting course to take, you learn everything along the way if that helps :)
Comment down below if anyone is thinking about or doing sonography! Would love to know :)
Also, feel free to dm me on instagram if you have any questions 🤍
Hey Ava,
That is super exciting! You can do it for sure. I entered this program straight from high-school and I am doing fine. I would recommend to get a planner. You will need to write and organize your schedule. It is very doable I promise!
Thank you so much :) I’m here to help!
Dm anytime On instagram you have a question!!
I have a meeting tomorrow to see if I can afford getting a degree in sonography. I currently have a vet tech degree because I love animals but the pay and benefits all around sucks
@@tiffanygreen5674 That is fantastic! You will not regret it, sonography is a rewarding career!
Hey. Loved your video. Could you please tell what kind of questions are being asked in the interview for getting into thos program?
Thanks!❤️
Hey,
Every program is different and some may not even require you to get an interview! For example, why do you think your a great asset to the program? Why do you want to be a sonographer etc!
I live in Atl as well! Great video! I was wondering, I want to pursue sonography but I’m majoring in Health science, do I have to change my major to something specific? Thank you!! New subscriber ☺️
Hey Laly,
That is awesome! You have to enroll in a diagnostic medical sonography program. In Atlanta I believe there are 3 in that area if I am correct. You can dm on Instagram for any other questions you may have.
Thank you so much I really appreciate it!
Hay quá
Love this video! Do you think someone could be in classes while working full time? I am definitely interested but couldn't afford to do it without keeping my job!
Thank You!! Yes, It depends on what your program is like and what it requires, hence, every program is different. Anything is possible, you got this :)
@@evelyngarcia1016 thank you for replying!❤️
Anytime, If you have anymore questions dm on instagram!! Here to help 🤍
Hi I just got accepted to ATL chamberlain and am starting in January how do you like it?
Oh wow! Congrats!!!!!
It’s a great school and it is accredited. If you want to talk more you can dm on Instagram:)
Hey I’m at Cambridge in altamonte springs in Florida! How far along are you in the program?
Hey!!!
I’m in my fourth trimester! Wby?
studying nuclear medicine technologists nd its essentially the same training aside from radiopharmaceuticals
Hey Evelyn! happy new year1 how is your journey going ?
I just applied to some colleges for sonography. But I’m scared it’s going to be hard and I’m going to fail😭 do you have any tips?
It will be hard but it is not impossible! If you work hard and dedicate time to study you will be good!!
You got this girl 🤍
@@evelyngarcia1016 thank you so much 😭😭 I really appreciate it ♥️
❤️❤️
I wanna change my major to sonography but I already took three classes that won’t even go towards me my degree 📜 so I’m just stuck between changing my majoring or keeping it 😞💗 but great video 💗
It is never to late to change!!! Sonography is a really rewarding career. What are you majoring in?
I was a business major for 2 years before deciding to switch to sonography. I recommend switching. I love it!!
Hi , I’m in Cambridge too 😍🤗 same program different states
YAYY!!! Super exciting :) We need to follow each other on instagram to talkkkk!!
Yes I add you ☺️
My college offers 3 years in college and 1 working in the hospital, is that normal ??
Hey,
To start off every program is different. As long as the program is accredited it should be fine. If both programs are accredited, it will just depend on what your preference and circumstance is.
OMG do you have to do s lot essays for sonography more specifically echo sonography?
Well most likely for your prerequisite you do, but it depends on your teacher. I’m not sure for echo sonography. You may have to do some essay here and there.
@@evelyngarcia1016 Thank you for the info. You are really inspiring and your vibe/energy is so comforting and fun hehe 💓
@@lizbetht317 thank you sweet girl! I enjoy hearing and love helping you out! Dm anytime :) Much love ❤️
omg i want to be a sonographer & i live in ATL too ! i just need tips on schools and etc
Hey Chanyce,
Omg yay! If you have any questions I’d be glad to help. You can dm on instagram if you would like :)
You go to Cambridge College! How is it? I'm planning on going there
Do you feel you need to be smart or remember certain things to go into schooling for this? As bad as it sounds I feel I’m not ready for it
Hi.. you’re so beautiful!
I wanted to know how long is the program? I’m doing BS in health science but I wanna change to sonography, just confused at the moment
Why thank YOU!! The program tends to be two years. I would research some videos and background in sonography. It is a great career, hence, the time being spent in school is short and pay is great but it is accelerated. Anything is possible, YOU CAN DO IT!!!
i start in october and im excited but nervous at the same time 😭😭
How is it going for I’m planning to get in to this program but very very nervous I’m from Texas
hello im from california and so far its good i go to wcui in ontario so for now ive been doing online main classes like algebra, anatomy and physiology, and medical terminology its good just a lot of note taking and memorizing, i believe i start labs in January but ill update You when i start labs 🩷
My big debut!! What an honor :'))
UR FAMOUS!!!
What type of sonography are you studying?
Hey addi,
I have not picked what specialty I want to go into in yet, but this program will teach me three specialties.
Hello
I am so glad to see your videos🙂
I had a question
Can a international student study sonography in USA?
What are the criteria to be one
Please please do reply me
I'm pretty sure it would all depend on which school you want to look into.
I’m going to try to get into cbd college this upcoming year we should definitely link up and talk sometime with you. I would appreciate some guidance and knowledge if that would be possible I’m in LA
Me too! Currently researching the school and reaching out to recent graduates from the dms program
Are taking out loans for the university or is it grants?
Hey,
Yes, I am taking a loan!
@@evelyngarcia1016 if you don’t mind me asking how much is tuition? I’m about to apply & start the process for my first interview 😊 just scared of the cost of tuition
How long will you be doing College?
I will be attending college for Two and a half years!!!
Do you go to Cambridge in FL?
Hey! I do not! I attend the Atl campus
You go to my school lol❤️
Hey friend:) Whooop whoop 🙌
Hey Girl this director is gonna schedule me for an interview for the program. Its funny because i actually applied the dunwoody campus too! Im planning to try for may semester. Was the interview hard ? How was like? Thank you so much (:
No the interview was not hard!! The director will give you questions to prepare for. Just be yourself and have a little background of sonography and what it is!
You got this girl :)
@@evelyngarcia1016 thank you so much😀
Hey girly thanks for giving me information about the interview. I was super nervous and im not quite sure that i got in the program. Do you know when the scool will usually tell you the results of the PDI? Thank you so much !
Hey, don’t worry I was super nervous too! I can’t really tell you when they will tell you because it is different with everyone. I knew around 4 months after some people knew right away. Just keep in touch with the college.
@@evelyngarcia1016 Hey Girllly i got into the program thank you for helping me so much! I wanted to know if the classes hybrid or you have to be in class M-F? (:
Hey! I am about to go to this school for my sonography program as well. how's the program? Is this school under CAAHEP accreditation? Can we sign up for ARDMS exam after we graduate?
Hey Miemie,
The program is great! This school is accredited which is very important. Yes, upon graduation you can take the ARDMS exam.
My interview is next week for this program.. I’m so nervous!!
Oh YAYYYY!!! Be yourself and confident, you will do amazing. Best of luck!!!!
Thanks ❤️
Are the classes really 8-6:30?
@@fredericawalls1430 The classes are between those times, for instance you may get 8-10am or 9-11am, 2-6 pm if that makes sense!
Thanks so much.. Hopefully we will meet soon❤️❤️
What school are you in? And where is this?
I am in the same college, but in Delray, Florida Campus. Im about to graduate in August, I can help you with some questions if you have some questions, but i dont use social media since last year. since i needed to focus for my Echo registry. but i would love to help you if you need to.
I literally just got my acceptance email an hour ago and I’m freaking out. Did you ever think you weren’t smart enough to go into an ultrasound program?
Congrats! You must be so happy and proud of yourself 🎊🎉
I’m waiting to hear back to see if I had gotten into school, too. I hope I’ll get good news like you soon.😊
@@VibrationCrystalshow did it go?
@@icielol9801 ...I didn't get in😔 but it's okay.
I found another school that is willing to accept me if I pass my TEAS test. So I'm not too disappointed. ☺️
