I got this phone back in 2018 for my birthday when it first came out. I still have it to this day and still works perfect.
Does the screen still work good,am told the display is prone to oled burning

I had a s8 plus man goat memories, but it cracked, now i'm planning to get s9 plus
Got mine (S9+ coral blue 256gb Exynos) a week ago as an upgrade from the Note 3 and it's great. Great speed, battery power, and camera, but I wish the AR emoji was something more substantive than a gimmick and the charger to use the latest Quick Charge tech. Still, it's pretty good!

Watching from a Stylo 4 (great phone honestly, LG was my first smartphone)...always loved Samsung Galaxy phones...had the s4, s5, s6, and s7 edge (as you can see my profile pic was from a galaxy phone, believe it was the s5 and case) Just waiting for the s10 to hit so i can buy. Great video!

If I may ask, I'd love to see see you mention the switch from pixel 2 XL to Samsung in your full review, especially on the whole "samsung bloatware" side of things, because I'd love to make the switch 6P to S9 but i dont know how annoying samsung services are if you dont want to use them! Thanks and keep up the great work :)
MrWh1t3x75 bloatware has become less and less since the s5/s6. On my s9+ i only find: Samsung health, Samsung gear, Galaxy apps, Galaxy members, theme store and Samsung pass. The last one is really nice cuz it saves your passwords and you can login on sites with fingerprint ot facial. The samsung UI is different from stock android but i like it. Believe me, you won't regret it if you decide to buy the s9+

I had the S6 edge but I have hesitate a lot to bought the new S9 plus but my final conclusion it is...I will wait next years for the S10 plus.But it's a still great smartphone the S9 plus.In canada we only had two color purple and titanium/grey...Good video!

Apple buyers will be pissed ........... not only is sammy throwing in the wireless charging pad for the pre order , but you also get the extra charging brick for the pad as well as the usual cable fast charger in the the box ......... and to add insult to injury the device is still the same price as last year !!!! And it's still cheaper than a pixel 2 xl which is not equipped with a headphone jack or sd card or even a pair of ear buds in the box !

Uhhhh, no. Retail customers are **Not** getting the wireless charger for free on their pre-orders. This is a review unit. Comes with one charge-brick and that's it.
Alan Smithee yeah I got nothing free with mine apart from my network gave me Netflix. I thought some others are maybe are getting that charger free but your right they don't. I still agree with the pricing and atleast getting the fast wired charger though and the good ear phones etc
I don't really think a retail unit gets the free wireless charger, that would be just way too much free stuffs in my opinion. Samsung already gives a lot of stuffs in the box, a fast charger, a good quality earphones, USB cable, these may sound quite normal but its more than what other big manufacturers are willing to include in the box nowadays. And Samsung really nailed the pricing this time around, you get a decent upgrade for the same price ( actually a little cheaper than the s8).

My upgrade isn't due until August of 2019. My Samsung S8 is a beast of a phone, one I'll be keeping and using even with a new phone around. It's my very first android ever and I'll be hopefully upgrading to a Samsung Galaxy S9 Note.

The only thing I hate about bumper cases is they do NOT protect the back from shattering!! That's why I get a regular case!
Mr. Random but it's for people who actually like seeing their phone. Honestly, a completely clear plastic case is the best of both worlds. But I like both cases as long as my phone looks good in it

Not sure why Samsung still defaults to 1080p. No noticeable battery difference between that and 1440p on my note 8. Performance is the same.
Chicken Fried Corgi same on S7 Edge. There's not a noticeable difference in battery so I stick with 1440p
On my S8+ I noticed a *TINGE* of a difference in general performance; overall slightly more snappier but the screen quality you give up for it it's not worth it at least for me. Don't know about battery performance though.
The difference is very minimal in my opinion as well, i usually just put it on 1080p usually when i need to save some battery and also wanna watch some video, it still won't make that much of a difference but still it does gives a bit more confidence. But yeah changing the mode doesn't really gives any major advantage, there isn't really much of a point by making the 1080p as default, the benefits are quite small anyway.

I would love if Samsung paid Apple to use the lighting port and put the lighting to type-c adapter in the box for people upgrading to a galaxy, it would be a cool way to troll apple and get some positive feedback from reviewers.
