Ive said this for so many yrs iso and locks ruined 2k. Thats why 2k15 2k16 was so favorited. The build system was made perfect. No one spammed squard. 2-3 zones wasnt ideal. No one spammed left rights like the do now. Slashing wasnt popular. The yr the grand badge system came on changed 2k

It’s so refreshing to see a different style being successful. There is no longer watching every single pro am team playing the same way. Tired of seeing everyone with the same play style, same exact builds and same style exact signature styles. The “comp” scene lack originality
P&R spamming is boring and lame.
But win games but in rec you don't need to spam it cause it's not fun but pro am different

It goes to show half of this community are playing ARCADE BASKETBALL that’s what this whole debacle is basically saying. Joe plays the game TO PLAY THE GAME OF BASKETBALL, others play the game TO EXPLOIT the f**k out of it.
Like for example: - We played a game today on the 3’s in Park, We came up against basically a 3 of locks and all they did WAS SPAM THAT SQUARE BUTTON, No good defence was played at all they would just rush up the court and spam that squad button to get that steal and that’s basically all they did we ended up winning the game though but that’s all they did, No defence was played at all.
And that’s what Joe Knows is basically saying he and his team play the game HOW ITS INTENDED, Others play it for the exploits .

My opinion is if you go back from let’s say 2k16 or 17 look at the landscape of players. Lot of ppl have prolly stopped playing/grown out of the game and the little kids who were trash cans have grown up and have a voice in these new 2ks and the style of the Game has changed/what’s accepted from style of play etc. I can go on and on. But just some thoughts I’ve had about state of the game/community.
What happened to competition, I was always excited to go up against Elites in my park to challenge myself, get better period.
I’m just as competitive as the next guy. If five out works then use it! The point of basketball is put the ball in the hoop. If the defense you’re running can’t stop them then run a new defense. Joe has put a lot of time in 2k so he’s going to know the system. You have to know the system. Your team has to be just that, A TEAM!! I’m not the greatest player by far but I’ll still compete to get better. If I lose I ask myself what could I have done better and what did I learn from that game.

I thought 5 out was everybody ran in 2k? Did I miss something? What other style is there ? It's only so much you can do with these tiny courts in 2k..they should of been made the 5v5 courts Bigger that would allow more free flowing offensive diversity. Speed of gameplay a bit and make the defender capable of moving a sliding, space is the biggest issue. So 5 out and PNR is really all you can do and maintain space...

In my opinion if your playing for money than it is what it is 5 out with a cheese 3 dribble spam move pg (which we all know is unguardable) easily penetrates kicks to open man or open 3 both teams do it n it comes down to who misses more open shots or who lacks on defense on rim runners.
It literally is predicated on a good spammy of everyone else might as well have 99 3s n mid range

I’ve played against joe knows team about 5 times, won once. Its a dragged out slow pace , five out against the big man. It’s not enjoyable to play against at all and it’s cheesy but you get it how you get it.😊 a lot unblockable contact dunks and if anybody helps defensively his corner shooters and wing shooters are cashing you out. Plus the dude is really good at the game.

It seems like most of the people who complain about JoeKnows running 5 out clearly havent played against him or watched his film. Like he said 5 out is the base offensive set. But they are constantly running different plays within that 5 out base set interchanging offensive rotations based on what looks the defense is providing them with. These "comp" players who complain are just upset that they have to play smart team ball every game of every series when they play Black Market because Joe can drop 50 but the whole team is full of offensive and defensive fire power from top to bottom 💯🖤

5 out is super easy to stop with the right line up and gets utterly destroyed. It's a rock paper scissors game. 5 out works but it is a crutch.

I’m playing 2k to play basketball I don’t need some speed boosters doing dribble Moves that aren’t even physically possible people are trash and desperate to win but would never admit it. It’s no way you wake up and enjoy playing the same glitch play style 7 to 8 hours a day because at that point your grinding not playing to have fun💯
Even with a 99 perimeter defense mfs still run through me with dribble moves and honestly your no better than a hacker
