Why you run water thru the rice? Haiyaa. Wet rice may not be able to absorb the flavor of veges & seasoning. Thats why we use overnite rice, rice without moisture.

I dont see the issue with boiling rice this way, most Indians dont have rice cookers at home and wouldve done the same (Tbh would've washed or soaked the rice first but......)
