They took one minor hit to the deck during the Korean war and then they leveled the whole general area of where that shot came from. One day during a patrol, a North Korean 155mm Artillery battery fired two shots at Wisconsin, with one hitting the Wooden top of the deck, the only damage the ship would ever sustain. In response, USS Wisconsin opened fire with all 9 of it's 16-inch (406mm) guns on the artillery position, not only leveling the position, but the mountain it was on as well. A destroyer patrolling with Wisconsin reportedly radioed in later on: "Temper, Temper".
