One of the most important elements of modern soccer is 1v1 situations. Thus, they have a crucial role in winning a football match. In situations characterised by the restricted area and the speedy play the players have to make appropriate decisions quickly in both defending and attacking situations. It requires much practise of 1 v 1 soccer drills to innervate good decisions which cannot be completed without tasks focusing on personal development.

Class for working on transitions!
Did a variation of this drill today with my U15 team. Took a bit of thinking but once they got it they really liked it. It’s a work in progress but this drill will be a regular one for us during the season. Thanks for the idea!

What's the rotation?
Players change their positions between 'A' and 'B' after every performed action. Defenders are changed periodically.
Hey Mate, I Ran this session last night with my elite U18 team and it was awesome. the rotations I used which worked well was players A&B rotate round one station anti clockwise, so the player A would move to the station B to his right, the player B from that station moves across to the other Station B and the player that was on that station moves to station A. (Hope that makes sense) and then Player C once the phases were complete simply joins the back of his teams line and the next player C enters to receive at the central gate. I also made this competitive by keeping score and we made the score visible on a white board and changed it accordingly when someone scored. made it fun as the teams were working harder.
