I’m in 8th grade this year and was told that I have to be even better to play volleyball as a freshman next year
I have my first game on wednesday! Tomorrow the other Team has a game and are short two people so I am helping! Basically tomorrow is my first game. Wish me luck😅😊😊

questions for all the vb players how do i get better at a overhand serve i’m currently in 8th grade off season and my serve is pretty bad it doesn’t stay i he air very long at all and it always goes to the side can anyone help??thanks

A lot of it has to do with confidence and a way to help with that is picturing the ball going over the net and not worrying about it. Another tip is to make sure you are hitting it with a flat palm and hard enough. Hope this helps! I struggled with severing all through middle school and right after school season for 8th grade was over I finally got it!

as a person also in gr 8 but playing for 4 years id say work with getting a nice toss and a hit close against the wall
Getting a consistent toss and serve routine is key. Once you have that down you can start looking at your contact points to make the serve for direct instead of a lollipop motion

These girls are really good
My tram is in first for our way of place rankings and we are actually really good. We won our first two games for the season and lost the next one and then won the one we had yesterday and for the next 2 weeks we will be playing at our school gym and then we will do semi finals and quarter finals and then we will play our very last game of the season at the high school that I am going to and a lot of other people I know are going to as well and I am so excited but also sad at the same time because the high school gym that we play at will be our last game ever for our team before high school and that is really sad. But I am excited for flying school volleyball. I have been playing volleyball since I was in 4th grade and have loved it ever since also we do an eight grade vs staff volleyball game every year at our school and we get to dress up in a costume so that is right before we leave for thanksgiving break but that game will be with the whole grade so I have lots of fun volleyball to look forward to within the next month.
