If you have a c6 corvette rough idle scenario going on, fear not because the solution to your engine idling rough is to get an obd2 scanner and connect it to your car's ODB2 port, and read what the problem is for your rough idle. We prefer the obd2 bluetooth, to it can send the results to your phone. Once you have the results you can then start to work on the corvette idling rough repair. In this case it said there was a problem with Cylinder #3, so that narrows down the source of the engine idling rough. Just check the coil and the spark plug, and see which needs to be replaced. So did the car show a check engine light? Or if was just running rough?

Yes there was a check engine light. Any time you see a fault code at 3:30 that says cylinder misfire, there will always be a check engine light.

Cause first thing before putting your hands in the engine is to read the codes ...what you say makes sense but if you don't know exactly what's the problem then scan the car to find codes

We like to let the engine tell us what it thinks is wrong, and we then proceed to investigate it.

Most of the time it is the plug, so try that first.
