Was interesting to hear your point around this. I personally was fine with the reprint mainly because I’m a big mono water fan, but do agree there were probably more useful/harder to find cards that could have been reprinted instead , also not a big fan of reprinting full arts like that. When i first started playing i think I bought the 10 starter deck and as you said it would have been nice to have had an amat or another big staple inside to give a reason for existing players to pick one up. I think they’re doing a fantastic job with the anniversary boxes so hopefully will step up the starter decks too
I think this is a you thing more than a game thing. The secondary market doesn't and shouldn't play into any decision they make and from a player POV, this like Ammy is a great incentive for people to come down and play. Especially newer players. Would I pick this? No. I'd rather it wasn't a card with an FA already. But it's a banger choice all the same so it's hard to argue
You could have said : I strongly disagree. It would have had the same meaning. There wasn't a single argument made in this whole statement. Starting with "this is a you thing" really makes it feel more as an attack than an argument. What is a game thing anyhow?!?? I'm sorry, I believe this wasn't your goal but it sparked a reaction from me.
I am not a fan of this as a promo. I hate they do full arts of stuff that already have full arts. I hate it even more they choose Hs. I hate it even more that they choose a card that is only used in one deck. If they gave the card a different artwork I might be okay with, but they need to make cards that are more rare or common in meta. I always thought also SE/HJ should just bundle like a promo of each element randomly in a pack for the duration of the set. Something One Piece and other TCGs do with great success. For example, if I don’t play mono water… I have no incentive to play the month of Ashe promo. Another issue is our store can’t seem to get promos so HJ lucks out as we play regardless of getting promos at the store since the game itself is fun. I feel you Ghoul on this topic.
Its not good and will never be Meta but its a fun mind game in deck building but opus 7 dorgann whenever someone says they want to build but don't know what to build around I always say try dorgann 7-056 I know you won't because you profer the Meta but just think about it one day

This one was a miss on SE/HJ part. However, their recent track record over a few years has been pretty spot on so I think this one just gets a pass.

Seriously. I mean so happy with anniversary set - huge - but the rest? Probably other Opus. Maybe ff16 in November?
