    Mr. Bao Sheng... this man knows his Durian. Not only is he a farmer, he also is designer. Producing hybrid Durians. Passion for Durians! Much respect. His dogs also love Durian. If ever in the Penang area, you must go to his small mountain top ranch. The sunset tour is a must, incredible views and an amazing sunset.

    Wow! I am salivating now. Grew up in Penang but did not know that there is so much to know about the king of fruits. Was back in Penang recently for a holiday and have had some good durians. We thought that we have had the best durians already. I will certainly find my way to Bao Sheng organic durian farm the next time I am back. And, needless to say, it has to be during the durian season. Thanks for the sharing.

    Serious question, fellows. How long can you keep a durian in the fridge before it spoils? I bought two frozen durians and put them immediately in the fridge to thaw. Exactly 10 days later I ate one...and it was absolutely delicious!!!. Five days later, I ate the second durian, and it too was declicious!!! So how long does a durian keep refrigerated before it goes bad? Better question, I suppose, is would you even know it was spoiled? LOLOL!

    • @LoveConsciousFamily
      @LoveConsciousFamily  Před 10 lety

      To just go there and eat nothing in advance. If you want to book to stay there you have to book in advance, but if you lucky it´s avalible places, as well there often are avalible the cheaper sleeping places for like 60 ringit per night. We stayed there for 3 days and took the lvl2 and lvl3 durian and villa with pool for 180 rngit a night. We were very happy with the durians we had, and the place is gorgeous! What is your plans, stay overnight or just go there and eat? Have you tried to contact Durian Sheng on facebook, he oftern answer back there but sometimes it takes a while. Have you tried Malaysian durian before?

      MT World We just arrived in Malaysia today and we're probably going to stay in Peninsular Malaysia for a little over a month. Probably going to stay in Penang for 4-5 days (we need to sleep right now after the 24 hours journey from Koh Phangan!) I'll probably get the hotel to call Durian Sheng for us since I have had no luck via Facebook or email! And no, I have not had Malay durian yet! I've had Thai, Lao and Khmer durian. I'm so excited!!

      Mostly Amélie How funny, we were in Koh Pangan 8 days lat week :) Very nice stayed in haad salad area, calm and nice, lots of good organic tings. Awesome food at microbiotic world. How come it took 24h? By boat? Yes you can try the hotel to call or just take the bus up, it´s next to the waterfall recommend to just show up around 10 am or around 4.30 pm that is goos times for good durian, not show up around lunch the its crowded and busy. Say Hi to mra Sheng from us

      MT World Ha! So we were there at the same time! We were in Haad Yao! If I had known, I would have loved to meet for a durian (my boyfriend doesn't like them, so I ate them alone every day. (I had a durian for dinner every day... is that bad!?)) And we ate at the macrobiotic restaurant quite often too ;) It took 24 hours by ferry, mini bus, 6 hours wait at the train station, and train. We departed our guesthouse in Haad Salad at 4pm and arrived in Georgetown at 4pm the next day :S

      Mostly Amélie To bad! We love to share durian with people and love to meet our subscribers :) What is your guys travel plans after Penang? We almust lived same place then hehe, we lived in Salad Buri Resort, highly recommend that place! Yes the lady over there had so good food at microbiotic! Did you try any other good restaurants? Oh my gosh tha´t quite a long travel! Why not just take firefly from koh samui to penang? Take one hour, that was what we did :)
      Have you tried some durian yet? Have a look in Balik Palau area heeps of durian stalls all over!

    In Singapore we may not get the best taste of durian,because nowadays durian vendors wrapped the durian meat in transparent polyform box for sales. May be sooner or later all the durian meat will be packed and freeze them before coming to Singapore. Like this they can save transport fee and no need to dispose all the bulky shells. Those who really want to enjoy durian feast, join the one day tour to Johor.

    Many interesting facts about durians revealed this master specialist. The best durians comes from Malaysia and followed by Thailand. The most expensive durian is known as Musang(fox) King.Never eat durians with any kinds of liquor.

  • @limpek001
    @limpek001 Před 5 lety

    His durians are basically of kampung variety but good because they are old trees? I believe the wrinkling is due to wacking the durian on the ground. It's not a sign of quality.
