This was when Cork was it his best. Got bounce off the surface and he consistently swung the ball. What a great post this is. So nice to see Richie Richardson. Wish some of his innings were posted here.
My family and I were in the crowd, just behind the bowler's arm. We've got it on home video camera. Might upload it to CZcams if anyone's interested! I was 16 at the time. Actually we were slightly late arriving, and missed the first 2 balls of the day. Luckily the hat trick started on the 4th ball of the day, so it was a lucky escape for us in terms of almost missing it.

@@rorschach2992 I'll dig it out sometime. The thing is we were slightly late and missed the first two balls of the day. The hat trick happened on the third, fourth and fifth balls of the day, so that was a lucky escape! A lot of people who were slightly late were kicking themselves that day for missing the first hat trick in England for about 35 years.
I was there. It was on a Sunday, the weather was stunning, England won, Cork hat trick, Lara ton and Robin Smith retired hurt after getting hit in the jaw.
Thanks for the memories... I remember watching this series from the first ball to the last. Real bowlers, real cricket.... Corky captured the zeitgeist. Kind of like Damon Albarn turning his arm over
@@Eat-MyGoal You know that Alan Partridge wasn't supposed to be someone to emulate, don't you? Honestly, I'll never understand some people's pride in being ignorant and uneducated.
I so agree dude! Funny thing is, I knew the guy who used to coach him as a school boy in Derbyshire. He said long before his knees gave way that he was being bowled too much.
how can you be so sure about someone's incapability in just 3 matches? I remembered Cork bowled well in the first Ashes test 1998, second test he was OK, no english bowler was able to take wickets, Steve Waugh scored a century......but I don't think Cork bowled badly, he was always giving his all, that was good about him, ...weak teams? was South Africa under Cronje a weak team?? even West Indies wasn't weak in 1995 dude.....
Looking back on this now, i actually think this was very poor play by the west indies. In my youth i thought this was the greatest, now i think its terrible. Am i showing my age?
Dominic Cork: the forgotten English fast bowler. Very under-rated. I liked his action.
Eye! Underrated legend 👍
Thanks for the thumbs up Dom!

But hus action us highly risky
Not forgotten at all.
i was there. 16 years old. Brilliant

My mum met this guy and he signed me a cricket bat

D Cork and D Gough back in the days🎉

@DeanWhipper definitely! Donald maybe a little longer and starker, but very similar looking
Jr Murry and Richie batting without helmets! Classic
lol my mum broke her radio watchin that live!!
Why is everything about the '90s so cool?
It wasn't the 80's
I have the same bowling action... I was surprised when I saw his action for the first time... That our actions are similar
हो सकता है पुनर्जन्म हुआ हो 😁😁😁

I used to imitate his balling action in the childhood
My favt action and my action
Agreed, Spaceman. No qualms about either LBW decision. This era is the start of the downward slope for the Windies.
i always wondered what happened to him. i agree with you he was a very talented fast bowler...its sad he didnt play much more test cricket.
It was that bowling spell that had the press calling him "Beefy 2" for a while. Pity Cokies kness gave out. He was a 'could have been' for England.

Actually, Australia took the No 1 mantle from the West Indies in the 1995 Caribbean series, which was just before this one.
Back when english summers were nice and warm :)
Lmfao
wonders what the fuss is all about. For any cricketer, producing a hat-trick on the world stage is a fantastic achievement
Long lost brother of donald
Batsman surprised as it looks like at the start of his run-up he is fielding at mid-off!
Old trigger had his finger up before the ball bounced? Lol home umpires always a treat in the ol days
Thanks Dominic 😂 so what are we going to use the Australian hat for then?
Who says he is forgotten. You may have forgotten him. Others remember him. Who says he is under rated. What is rated by the way, 😂😂😂
LOOKS LIKE ALLAN DONALD
Ah, dunnit make you feel good!
Junior Murray batting before Carl Hooper?
He resembled Allan Donald
Matthew Fleming resembled Allan Donald though his cricket career was very short.
his style is so elegant in comparison to players like malinga!
Oh he's into IPL now baby Yeeaah!!!
Absolutely plumb..... halfway up middle stump for the lbw's 👌
Hoopsie
Dominic Cork absolutely ruled that 1995 series - didn't he take 7-for in one of the earlier tests?
7 for in his debut match
LBW looked like it was going down leg-side
Probably clipping leg stump. DRS would say umpire’s call today on that basis.
@boeing74783 "and he bows as good as Donald as well" Are you sure you've thought that comment through?
Poor man's Allan Donald.
Inder Bisht hahaha similar action n looks
I remember this Day , think Brian got 145
why would you name your kid junior?

RAM NARAYAN RAM
sasta donald...
wtf?
if only I knew what was going on
Yeah he does look a shitload like A.D.
The similarity's are uncanny
that 1st lbw was goin down leg !
One of the worst dibbly dobbly medium in his final days
Of course, playing against Australia is the only thing that counts. That's the attitude here in the land of Oz.
who is dominic cork?????
He is bowls like Naseem Shah.
wtf was that?
Rare good moment for a as it turned out crap bowler
Could this response actually be any more pointless?
u havin a laugh ...? im afraid u dont know much!!
Yep he sure did - another player who England didn't use properly!!!
Corky always gave the batsman a good stare. A Derbyshire legend.
