90s and early 2000s were the golden times of Cricket. Today we can literally count the top batsmen and bowlers on our fingers but at that time every team used to have 2-3 lethal batsmen and bowlers. The Australian team was from a different world altogether. That's why it is totally unfair to compare today's batsmen with the likes of Tendulkar, Lara or Ponting and bowlers with the likes of Akram, Warne, McGrath, Muralidharan etc. These guys are certified legends. Even Zimbabwe used to be a tough nut to crack with Flower brothers and Henry Olonga on their side. I still very vividly remember Pakistan's batting used to be so deep and their bowling attack so extraordinarily strong that every Ind vs Pak match used to be nail biting and a thriller. Those were the days man. Not just in cricket but overall the world was a better place , devoid of unnecessary social media apps and technology.

Legendary bowler, a wonderful cricketer, great sportsman and most of all a good and brave human being. Not many of us know that in the year 2000, in Brisbane, Australia, after Pakistan had defeated India (🙁), Shoaib was outside the stadium signing autographs when he a noticed a young kid running towards him and in the way of a speeding taxi. Shoaib risked his life and timely pulled the kid to safety from what would have otherwise been a fatal accident. Admire him. Respect and Salute, Shoaib ji!

Brett Lee bowled with the same pace but Shoaib was different he just had too much intensity and a beastly action. Somedays he even landed himself in trouble due to that but even after injuries and controversies he never compromised on his pace and kept on scaring batsmen around the world with his raw pace. Shoaib Akhtar was just an unseen enigma.
I still remember the first time I saw him bowl in a match. I was a child. And man, he had this real life superhero aura for me. I instantly became his fan. Trying to copy his hairstyle and bowling action seriously thinking I'll be able to mimic his speed when I grow up. 😂 Oh man! He is fire 🔥

Shoaib Akhtar was undoubtedly the most lethal daring fast bowler of all time ...He was a treat to watch when he is in full form...I am an Indian but I admire him so much for his bowling and charisma...He once played in IPL for my city Kolkata in KKR and oh man in just 3 overs he destroyed the Delhi batting line up ...and he was only 50% fit in that match...I will never forget that spell of Shoaib in Eden Garden in front of 1 lac spectators...He was a genius

An absolute terrific site for any cricket fan when he’s fully charging in - box office hit wherever he played - truth is love him or hate him but the world will never ever see another Shoaib or Lee - Both we’re an absolute amazing site when fully steaming in - I’m glad I saw Shoaib in his prime years bowling in Sharjah Australia India and New Zealand and not to forget I was in the stadium at Karachi and Lahore in 2002 when he first bowled 100mph

The way shoaib akhtar bowled, it is a blessing that no body died from injury. Glad that he only broke toes and only gave sore body pain for a few days to batsmen. I have seen shoaib akhtars fear in the body language of many batsmen.
yorker style bowling was my favourite style of bowling when I played with friends. once I recovered that style I was more excited to bowl then prefer to bat. its fun to watch as well
