@PIchillin456 You would obviously need an LED replacement, unless your 3rd brake light is already LED. To install the unit, you would just unplug the harness from the light, and put the module inline. It's pretty simple. I just put spade connectors on the leads coming from the module and plugged it into the car's harness.
@ri22o Well I know that the third brake light has LED's but I'm going to look at the wiring and see what's up. If I can do that I will but as long as it's just one wire to the bulb I might just cut the wire and crimp the unit into the system. It's not the most reliable method ever but I think I'll be able to get it to work. I might be back for more questions but I don't know yet. If anything I just said didn't make sense I apologize. I'm drunk right now. I don't even know if I made any typos.
Hey man what exactly is involved in installing the wiring on this thing? I've been wanting to buy this off superbrightleds for a while now but it never mentions in the site how to install it. It only mentions how you install the plastic box containing the circuits.
@ri22o where did you put the black wire? chassis ground or can you just tap it back into the other wire that goes to the stock lights? (i think the stock lights have 2 wires)
Alright I tried wiring this to my car just now but nothing happened. Is it absolutely necessary to have LED's in your 3rd brake light to make this work? I'm honestly not too sure I have LED's in mine but I'm sure I wired it correctly
looks good bro, i might have to get this, your WRX looks clean in all your videos, keep it up

@thefetusking Depends on who you ask, but it definitely shouldn't be frowned upon. At least in this application.

@PIchillin456 What are you wanting to install it in?
@ri22o where specifically in the harness?
It just looks like the light bulb is burning out.
