- The a year or two ago Oklahoma Joe’s interest the kettle grill market. Their kettle grill is good but not perfect. No grill is for that matter. However, their are a few things the R & D department at Oklahoma Joe’s should have considered before releasing the Blackjack for sale. In this video I discuss what issues I have with it, and what I’ve done to solve or deal with them. I also purchased the Charcoal Manager. I demonstrate how it helps in this video. Even though this is not my review of the charcoal manager. #oklahomajoes

Been interested in the Blackjack. I am an Oklahoma Joes fan. And seems like a good idea and solution for it.
Man I’ve been using it several times since this video in preparation for an upcoming review video. I can say so far, that I thoroughly recommend it, it really makes the grill very versatile and more convenient. Thanks for watching.

Ok,...it's all about applying the meat to the heat, and it does that, but for the serious outdoor BBQ guy out there,....this is a must see as well the best video to help one determine if the Blackjack is for them, as well as a "tutorial" for the folks that make this cool grill. In the end, I don't think the folks at Char-Broil really care. Hope I am wrong!? Great thing here is with everything you point out, you respond with a solution to make it better. I apprecite that! I've always grilled pork steals like pork chops. A little butter and seasoning they taste great. I tried a recipe that did it low and slow for an hour and simmered it for an hour in BBQ sauce. They were good, but my family liked the grilled style better. I'll try this when it warms up a bit. I'll just have to calm down the recipe for the Norske's in my family. They look good.

It’s a good grill, but not perfect. The charcoal manager makes it much better. I wasn’t telling you what to do, just providing information so you can make a wise and informed decision.
There is no perfect grill.
