This is like the best video in the world ever. I'm not just saying that because my name is now on the scrapstang. Seriously, it's great to know exactly what goes into building and restoring a classic car. Thanks for the great video!
Really digging this build. I always love seeing classic mustang builds that aren't just restorations.
Thanks! This should be a pretty fun build when it drives
I don’t understand why you only have 6k subscribers you make great content
Tell me ab it! 🤣
All the little victories will continue to pile up! She's comin along..
So freak'n awesome to see more peeps adding their support!
Yes! Hopefully this will start becoming profitable soon 🤣
LMAO😂 ohhh no I scratched the paint😅 as you're putting on the names🙌
Whoops 😂
Another win for the build AND the budget 🎉👍
Thank goodness for the local U- pull it yard! You know someone was hiding that driveshaft for later in that Exploder, but hey 1st come 1st serve, or 2nd served 😁
That driveshaft actually matches the patina under the car perfectly, like it had already spent its whole life there.🤣
Ok, I know Fab Fords is too soon, but that thing would be perfect for Duct Tape Drags cruise for sure.
Very cool you were able to piece together a workable perfect size driveshaft, get some new HD U joints and you are good to go 👍
Will do!
Dude! I always enjoyed your presence and positive energy on Sarah's channel. Congrats on what you're building - channel and 'stang. Keep doing what you clearly love to do. We'll watch.
Thanks so much!!
Angel this stang is going to be awesome and actually handle
Yes!
Dear Rookie Pilot.
👍👌👏 Sir, you are definitely a natural optimist! Calling it a complete drive train although the gearbox is missing all its guts is what I call positive thinking! 😁 ;-) Of course was the drive shaft project nevertheless a big success. Congratulations! 🎉 Obviously sometimes even Murphy's law takes a rest. Hope it is on vacation for the rest of this build. 2) Have you ever considered to paint a budget fun car with one stage paint and a good paint roller? I've done it and the result was quite okay. Additionally you need way less paint (= budget friendly), no compressor and there will be absolutely no paint dust. 3) Good heavens! 🙈 At first I really thought that you had buckled yourself onto the rolling board for a reason.
As always: Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing.
Best regards luck and especially health to all involved people.
Haha yes the t5 is just a shell at the moment lol. And for paint for some reason im liking the way it is lol. If i paint it id want it to be perfect which is something thatd happen maybe later on
I'm enjoying the ride you are taking us on.
My first car was a 64 1/2 Mustang. The 260 was replaced with a 289 at some point and it really made that car a runner. My dad (a mechanic) bought it for $100 as it wouldn't start. New plugs, wires, distributor, a junk yard starter, four bias ply retreads... and I had a car! The body was badly rusted out. Covered what I could with metal tape and rattle can sprayed over that. The rear quarter panels were so far gone that anything in the trunk would fall right out. But the interior was complete and all the badges and pony car adornments were intact. I loved that car. We put another 100K on it before my brother wrecked it for good. Good luck with yours Angel. Nice to see these old cars come back to life.
$100 bucks!? Thats a deal you wont find now a days. Good thing you got plenty of life out of her before it got wrecked
1975. Back when $100 was a decent amount of money. There were plenty of Mustang basket cases back then. We had our pick of junkyard parts. I think Ford Falcon parts fit Mustangs too. @@rookie__pilot
You`re cooking with gas there!
🔥
Angel, your yokes are 🧑🚒
🧨
Angel keep up the persistence
Will do !!
hey Angel, imma switch to Patreon for ya going forward. I am super stoked to see my name on the stang - just didn't want you to think i was a fly-by-nighter on ya! :) Happy to see you kicking ass!
Thank you! YT takes a much bigger portion of the memberships compared to patreon. Youve been watching this project from the start! I appreciate your support!
Awesome Angle 👍🏽👍🏽 it's good to find parts that fit from the scrap yard and it's getting there slowly and surely 👍🏽👍🏽
Good research on the diff and nice work.....
Thanks !!
As they say, I'll take luck over skill any day! Nice score.
100% agree!
SCORE.... and the crowd goes wild.
Safety first brother! I'm glad you think like that.
You can't take back an accident after it happens!
Right!

Sometimes a guy couldn’t plan it better than it just happens. Good deal driveshaft fits! Couple u-joints and should be good to go. Cool
Yes! Im lucky it happened lol
nice, the shorter the drive shaft the quicker the power gets put down to the tires
😎🤘🏼
Hey AFC, nice job with the driveshaft funny how things like that work out and absolutely those Porsche brakes are worth a small fortune contrary to popular belief nobody tracks with carbon fiber brakes way the hell too expensive everybody uses steel I wouldn’t be surprised the next time you go back, those are long gone. enjoying the build very much have a great one 👍
Right! I didnt have a jack with me or i wouldve taken them!
ratchet ring spanners are the best thing since sliced bread.
Nice to see sahara in your clip , Angel food cake. LOL
Im following this build....btw were having a heat wave up here in Michigan! high 30*'s LOL😎
30 HIGH what no thanks 😂😂😂
Nice work Angel. I glad you found everything for the perfect fit and at a much better price. Regards, Dave
Before rebuilding that T5 consider that the T5 Ford used behind that 3.8V6 can be made to work with your V8, you just have to swap the bell housing, input shaft, and bearing retainer from a V8 T5, the tooth count is the same on both the V6 and V8 input shafts. The V6 box also has a lower 1st gear ratio and you can pick them up cheap, I paid $25 for the one I swapped one into my '68 Mustang, a new V8 input shaft was around $30 and I just cut down the bearing retainer in a lathe. I dig your project, can't wait to see it out tearing up the streets.
Hey Angel t-shirt with accidental perfection on it 👊 ...gold i tells ya
Drive shaft from 90s mustang are aluminum can get shortens for around 150 and balanced
Good job!
Great video, Angel!
Thank you!
Overkill good, Angelkill bad.
Exactly 😂😂
👍👌👏 You're such a natural, funny guy. 😁 ;-) More later. For now I just had to secure that I'm commenting first. 😁🙈
Definitely won 1st! 🤘🏼
@@rookie__pilot
Thank you, Sir, thank you very much! 👍. It is sooo very important to me that you confirmed my extremely unimportant first comment, it's almost unbeliiiievably uninteresting! 😁 ;-) Now back to the video.
The harbor freight 1/2 impact is great for a cheap one great for junkyards
I definitely need a 1/2in!
Yeah! Great result! 🙂👍
My wallet talks to me too lol. Paint scratcher.
I have to listen to mine more often lol
Sarah probably wont ride in that car unless the body is atleast one color😂😂😂
I think you might be able to make a cheap rear four-link, out of a set of second hand jeep tubular control arms?
😎🍺👍🇦🇺
👍🏻😎🤘🏼🫡
Thank you for using freedom measurements instead of those crazy metric things that Sarah uses 😂
😂
While it's always good to have happy accidents, you seemed way too happy to slide that output shaft in and out of the drive shaft over and over and over... 😮
I had to edit the rest of that out… i did it one too many times 😂
