I've known JD for over 30 years since his playing career at Arkansas. He was always the most gracious and big hearted guy around, often to his own detriment. It's nice to see that after many rough years of bad financial decisions, bad marriage decisions, etc. he has found a better place and turned things around just in time to be there for his son. He's always a great draw for the game of golf and hopefully he can continue to be that and continue to prosper and stay in good health.

This episode really show why John is one of my favorite people ever.... he’s so humble and so grateful for everything he has, and with his cancer diagnosis, he’s really got such a good lighthearted perspective on it, he knows all the partying he did when he was younger should’ve killed him, but it didn’t, so he’s definitely living his best life at this point. We are so blessed to have real people like Big John in the world. Who his friends are, and those that passed on, speak volumes about what kind of man he is. I seen Big John at the Kemper Open back in the early 1990’ ms when I was stationed as an active duty Marine on Quantico. He’s the reason I started playing golf. His drives were in many cases, hundreds of yards past all the others at the Kemper. The ground shook when he swung. WWG1WGA

@@budhunsicker8904 nope. Can’t remember the hole at the Kemper, but was sitting green side on one hole, and could look over and see tee box of another. Big John out drove his group by about 120yards. He had confidence in his driver when it was on. Then waiting on the group JD was in hitting to the green I was standing by, seemed like forever, a single ball bounded over the hill and rolled out at least 100 yards past the group. We knew it was John’s drive, and it was. Only ball in site. I followed him a few holes, and in a tree lined tee box, when JD hit his drive, felt like the ground shook. Worked our way over to the 18th, at about the 100 yard marker. Seen one ball come to rest at the top of a hill and thought it was JD. I was against the ropes on the left side of the fairway, and then I heard a ball pass within a few feet of me. JD’s ball. Can’t remember if it was his drive or not, but he was always at least 75 to 100yards further than the groups I stopped to watch.

I wish God would have made a few more Quality Men like Mr. John Daily! I’m 55 and have always enjoyed following his career. But its the little things like letting High School and College Golf Teams come and play his course for free. The Huge Love he has for his Children, and the love and respect he has for his friends makes him a True American Legend. Thank you John! If you’re ever in Orlando and need someone to join you at Hooters, drop me a message and I’ll be honored to join you! 😎

My first time visiting your channel and a gotta say you are great at your craft. You asked the questions and let Daly do his thing such a great interview. I've seen John and his buddies at Clearwater Golf Course quite a few times but never approached him, after seeing the interview it's easy to see he is approachable.

Saw John Daly this week at the Clubcorp Classic, truly the only one I wanted to see. With two daughters playing in High School I want give you a special thanks for opening up your course to allow the kids to play. I'm sure the folks in Arkansas appreciate your generosity.
Please stop smoking, we love you brother.

John Daly is a legend, I remember growing up and just learning how to play the game in the early/mid 90’s and I would try to imitate him and his swagger. I’ve never met John but I’ve met a bunch of PGA pros and the only one I’ve really wanted to meet was John Daly. I lost my father early November 2021 from cancer and he was also a big John Daly fan and when I found out John had cancer it felt like a friend of mine just got sick because I’ve looked up to John Daly as well as my father. But I wish John the best, he seems like a guy you can just talk to, have a beer and just enjoy each other company. John, I wish you the best and I will pray for you, your health and your family. You’ve been a major inspiration to me and many, many other people around the world and you single-handedly lifted watching the PGA tour from being boring to a damn party! 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼

Another great job hosting Travis. Enjoy the way you let the interview flow and stay informal. Long John is a damn living legend. I just love his carefree attitude and take-it-or-leave-it style he's carried throughout his life. I'm sure he'd be the first to say he's made some mistakes in life but hey, who hasn't?
And I fell out when he dropped the "Daddy Trump" quote.....lmao. You'd never hear that from any other public figure....lol.

Nobody beats JD for raw talent, authenticity, and being a straight up decent human being. He doesn't feel he should be pushed into someone else's mold of what's “correct” because, really, isn't that we’re all supposed to be doing? Why should we allow ourselves to me molded into another’s opinion of what is acceptable? Love JD and everything he does behind the scenes. There are no neon signs or big articles written because he doesn't do it for the glory, he does it because it's the right thing to do. JD, I've loved your energy since I first saw you and I sincerely hope I get to see you play in person. XOXO
