    The turtle has always made sense to me. They are on a slow moving animal and they are like "Hold On, I'm Coming"

    Now I’m excited to spin Black Moses! I purchased Kool and the Gang when it was released. The gold flecks looks amazing and it sounds great.

    Since VMP uses the resealable outer it would be great if they shipped the discs outside the jacket. That would eliminate any seam splits and possibly some warps too.

      My no1 gripe, everyone who posts vinyl needs to know that its unacceptable to send a record inside the jacket, they shouldn't have to be told

      I agree - I will bring that up to them if I get a chance to talk with them again. It makes sense - or at least - offer the option.

    T Rex 'Electric Warrior' re-press would be grand. Scored Moses and T Rex. Also 'A Little Touch of Schmilsson in the Night', easy laid back vocals 1940s style ballads with orchestra. Flat as a pancake and spotless clean black vinyl, dead silent. Gorgeous. His album with the magnum opus FM favorite in the 1970s 'Jump Into Fire' sold out. Still waiting for their box sets Grateful Dead, Blue Note and Impulse. Disappointed they didn't cut the Moses album cover as originally released with the massive cross fold out, a poster is a substitute. Thanks for the great reviews again.

      Im kinda glad they did the poster vs. the jacket - it probably would be a giant pain dealing with that Jacket. and the small sticker was cool too! I hope they do more Isaac Hayes and Stax stuff in general.

    Nice to see that Isaac Hayes was wondering how the packaging would look. I swapped out for Wilson Pickett’s ‘Hey Jude’ & Booker T. & the MGs/Mar Keys ‘Back to Back’. Always love your enthusiasm and positivity!

    The title is “Hold on, I’m coming,” and the turtle is slow. Electric Warrior and The Slider are T-Rex glam rock. They never really made it in the US but were huge in the UK. Their fortunes were on the decline around the time of Bolan’s death.

    VMP seems like its become a flippers subscription, limited edition fomo pushers.
    People trying to sell the Sabbath pressing for outrageous prices a day after they were released.
    I hate this about the "vinyl resurgence" artificial scarcity is ruining the fun of it.

    • @thejunglistmeow
      @thejunglistmeow Před 13 dny

      I think it's also to do with the fact they're ONLY releasing a limited edition pressing, instead of releasing one alongside a standard pressing, or even stating they'll repress it at some point. These albums are incredibly popular and some of them haven't been repressed in a very long time. Feels like they're missing out on a good financial opportunity for the artists and the labels.

      Not sure why people are paying this price on Discogs - it's available and will be repressed (for a while) from VMP.

    • @PiecesofVinyl
      @PiecesofVinyl  Před 11 dny +1

      It's interesting because - they are not a label - and they literally are listed as a "Club" ....meaning - some people don't get in. And I have said this to them - at some point - not everyone gets it - it's limited and it's a club - which is why I am a member. I am not a member of the Pearl Jam 10 club - and I dont get some of these super limited (and often very pricey later on) pressings. and that is cool - I dont pay for the 10 club. That said - if there is a VMP pressing that is "limited" - I have noticed - the label themselves - like Mr. Bongo/Craft/Daptone/Colemine - will put out the non-limited black or their own exclusive as well. The new Fraction from VMP is limited to 300 from them - but it's available from Riding easy records. Stuff like that. I am sure this Black Moses will come out from Craft in a year or two as a normal black version.

      @@PiecesofVinyl Yes, I am talking about the industry in general. Not specifically VMP. I work in the record selling industry so I am aware how their setup is. I haven't been a customer since the whole pressing plant fiasco. I appreciate your input.
