  • Use screws to easily remove damaged section of sprinkler pipe!
The other day when I was outside planting in my garden, I noticed that one of my irrigation line sprinklers looked weird. When I switched on the sprinkler system, a huge fountain of water appeared due to the high pressure of the irrigation system. Apparently, the someone had stepped on the sprinkler head (probably me while mowing the lawn) and caused it to crack off at the base. I figured out a trick to remove and replace the the broken sprinkler pipe in order to install a new one, using a bunch of screws to grip the broken pipe from the inside. Hopefully I can help someone out who's trying a bit of DIY home improvement or home repair work to save money. Have a great day and please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
I recommend testing this technique out on some old spare sprinkler parts before attempting on a live system to reduce risk of damaging the pipe. Be careful and I wish you all the best with getting your system back up and running.

Don't bother with teflon tape for the cut off nipple. They have tapered threads that seal tight - just screw it in. Nipple extractors are $5 at home depot, but the screw idea is funny.

I'm afraid to Google the name of that tool, not sure what might appear lol. I'll look into it though, if the tool works, it could potentially make these repairs faster/easier. In terms of the Teflon tape, that's good to know for the future. Thanks for checking out the video, man.
