    Thanks for showing the commercial from my playlist at the beginning! Glad it's been of use to people. Once again, great panel review! I've really enjoyed that they've added back in the sound effects on Giant Drop since last year. Really enhances the ride experience.

    this is just an idea, but i think you should make a video on like what to do if you're trying to be a ride operator at six flags, how to get faster cycles, what questions they will ask you at interviews, just basic stuff you learned and did so the next generation is as good as you not as bad as other ride ops so more people can enjoy their day instead of waiting 4 hours for maxx force

    2 questions:
    What can you tell us about the balancing piece of it?
    Why the fuck did they put the motors at the top of the tower? (Less of a question more of a wtf intamin)

    • @realsfgamfan
      @realsfgamfan  Před 5 lety

      1. No balancing aspect. All sections are independent of one another.
      2. Counterweight

      @@realsfgamfan 1. Weird, the cga one has that and they're pretty anal about balancing it.

    • @realsfgamfan

      The way I did it was getting into management quick and requesting a different side of the park each year, and since I was management it made sense for me to be certified for every ride. I don't know if they are as liberal about that anymore.

    • @realsfgamfan
      @realsfgamfan  Před 5 lety +3

      There are 3 cables on each section for redundancy in case one snaps.

    Did this tower suck down a lot of electricity when it ran? At least some of the gyro drops aren't counterweighted, Acrophobia wasn't, and when it was put in one of the common problems was it would pull too much amperage. They 'solved' that problem by disabling the motors that rotated the ring. It took a couple of seasons before the rotation was reliably working. Bad design decision imo considering the Intamin parachute drop SFOG had a counterweight for each little 2 seat chair, on a tracks inside the tower.

    • @realsfgamfan
      @realsfgamfan  Před 4 lety

      This is very interesting. I believe that drop had counterweights for each section (6) but I have to check with my intamin expert to know for sure.
