RNEG to RNEG2 RT6 upgrade 🔧

A step by step video about upgrading the RNEG navigation unit (and screen) to a RNEG2 RT6 unit (and screen). 🔧
Still need to install the USB-cable (in current vid not included0 and update the RT6 software.
Used OEM products:
RT6 unit: 98083776XT
Screen: 98045606ZD
The VIN number must be loaded into the RT6-unit to let is work. To upgrade the RNEG to RNEG2 RT6 it is mandatory to upgrade the screen as well.

Le numéro VIN doit être chargé dans l'unité RT6 pour que cela fonctionne. Pour mettre à niveau le RNEG vers RNEG2 RT6, il est également obligatoire de mettre à niveau l'écran.

I've always wanted to do that, but on a DS3 it's a bit more complicated because of the screen.

Did the install require any Diagbox coding?

Yes, the VIN of your car must be coded in the RT6 unit. This was done for me at the merchant.

Whats the issue withe the previous version?

The RNEG has less functionalities and also some common issues like:
Automatic reboot (and after reboot, it has all values from when you started the car)
Screen doesn't close entirely when turning of the car.
Advantages of the RNEG2:
Bluetooth (streaming music via phone for example)
Better resolution screen
Navigation maps are still updated
