In Ohio we have things like this called Buckeyes.... They look like a buckeye and are peanut butter, powdered sugar, butter, and vanilla... roll them in balls, dip in melted chocolate, cover all of it except a tiny cap part (so it looks like a buckeye)...I make about 300-400 every Christmas season...., but I cover the whole thing then sprinkle with different color sprinkles... Amazing !!!

If I made those, I'd eat the whole cookie sheet worth in about 2 days. I have no will power where chocolate and peanut butter are concerned. So if I do make them, it would have to be on an occasion where I'd be bringing a dessert to some function. Laura couldn't wait to pop that in her mouth! If I were that camera guy, I'd be grabbing!

My mother made these every year at Christmas time. The winter weather in Arkansas allowed her to store them in a candy tin box and place them outside the kitchen door on top of a second refrigerator we had on the patio . . . that is until the raccoons figured out how to pry the top off and they enjoyed them too. Thanks for bringing back the memories. I think it's time to start a new tradition in April!

I have a similar recipe that my grandma used to make every year for Christmas, except ours didn't have rice cereal, they had peanut butter, powder sugar, butter and a milk chocolate coating...these look much easier to handle though and the crunch would be a nice addition. Definitely going try these. These also kind of remind me of puppy chow-aka "the devil" lol. Chex cereal with a peanut butter-milk chocolate coating and dusted with powder sugar...so good! Thank you as always for sharing, I truly enjoy all your channels. Keep up the fantastic work.

KELLOGG'S "Brown Rice Crispies" cereal, is the tastiest, crispiest (most hardy) rice crisp cereal to use for this kind of recipe. (Not to mention, cereal w/milk in a bowl for breakfast.....or just dry, out of the box, so tasty)!

These are so yummy 🤤 I need to make a double or triple batch for the holidays. I decreased the sugar a bit and still were delicious.

How much did you decrease? I try to use as little sugar as possible but still works for recipe.

I made some for Christmas for my family. We don't have compound chocolate that I know of in Sweden so I had to temper the chocolate. I prefer the crack that tempered chocolate gives. These are so much better than Reese's cup, which I find to be way too sweet.

She said " this ain't no Laura in the Chocolate factory. This is Laura in the kitchen, so this food will look like it's been made in this kitchen!"
    LOL
    She's so cute and funny!
