- Today I'll show you how to replace the damaged home button on an iPhone 8 or SE. This will not keep Touch-ID functionality, but neither will a broken button. This restores single, multi and long press actions.
I am not responsible for damage or data loss caused by you to your device, this is not a guide for beginners and reasonable safety precautions should be followed. Attempt this repair at your own risk.

I thought I was stuck with using finger gestures with my phone forever since it would costing me $450 to get it replaced. Thank you for your video. As for engineers, I have to deal with them on almost daily basis. Therefore I have the same sentiments. Thank you for saving me at least $400.
Good old engineers, “it looks good in my computer! Good luck production team!”
I see the Jerry Rig influence in your humourous videos😂
Thank you! Jerry has always been a big inspiration, he also happens to be a pretty funny guy!
where do you get your studded black gloves?
Amazon! Gloveworks HD Nitrile, they are studded for repairing pleasure!
Is this button pressure sensitive?
Technically capacitive, if it detects a press the vibration motor is what provides the feedback, the button itself isn’t clicky. Older versions of the JC replacement button were clicky, like you’d see on the iPhone 6 and below, but newer ones are capacitive like the 7 and above.
Is the button a solid state sensor that sense pressure like the original one or is it just a physical home button?
The old versions used to be the momentary press buttons, but the newer ones like these are solid state with haptic feedback from the vibration motor
@@TapticDigitalwill this one let you have touch ID, and if so, where could I get one?
