If the bearing is full of grease you don't need to worry about water and mud getting in with normal driving. No grease as it comes from the factory will fill up with mud and water in no time, guaranteeing a bearing replacement coming soon. The 2020 570 sportsman takes a 35mm on the front and a 40 mm axle on the back. Use red tacky grease and once a year is all that is needed.
Greasing more often is better than not. Water and dust can immaturely where your bearing out sooner. Heat will break down the grease faster and allow water and dirt to stay between metal surfaces causing damage.
Grease often with a water resistant or water proof grease. Grease should push out of bushings. Wipe off excess. I have seen rust powder puff out of neglected bushings
I like my 2002 500 it has wet bath hubs no water issues ever ….. don’t forget the steering zerk under the headlight pod assembly ….I’d use Polaris purple grease or Amsoil grease
My manual doesn't even mention it! I thought my steering was harder than usual! On my 2007 I found an extra 5 spots with zerks. I bet there is more....plastics are coming off tonight after a wash. They change things all the time and its a hassle to figure out.
@@SeanWMODonnell If like my 2002 it will have about 16 zerk fittings … rear hubs, steering, drive shafts check it over really good … hoist it up if you have a safe way to do so
I also can’t find any grease fittings but the one on the prop shaft, any idea where they would be on a 2021 sportsman 570? Thank you for the video, it was very helpful
I have a used 850 and i noticed one of the rear wheel bearings was installed with the removable race to the outside. I greased and reinstalled do you think its a big deal? Or should i change it?
Should make no difference. I have seen them both ways from the factory. Just keep it well greased. Positive side is they are very cheap to buy when they do go bad. Good luck!
I ordered a Polaris 850 Premium Trail model, should be here the first week of August. Can you provide any information on where to purchase the greasing tool? Thx in advance....
One more question.......Upon delivery should I grease all the fittings or trust that it was done at the factory? Love buying American but there’s a lot of smack getting thrown at Polaris on CZcams.......😢
You're over greasing for there to be that much grease thrown up against the jnside of the hub. There should be barely any visible grease coming through the seal/dust covers.
You do this every single ride? Geeze just grease them every 6 months and replace 1 when it needs it. You're doing way more labor and cost than just replacing then when needed
OMG an actual atv how to video that is well done! Thank you!

I love this bro!! Ur amazing Thank u so much!! Love the organization
Ok I'm really glad I found this video. I just got a 2022 sportsman 450 and the manual says it has sealed bearings. So does this still apply?
Aren’t there sealed heavy duty bearings available now?
Super helpful, thanks!!
Greasing every ride is overkill. You're doing more labor than just replacing bearings yearly. Lol.
Yeah seems ridiculous.

excellent video!
i use a 90 degree zerk fitting helps !! and a long straight hose too
Thanks for the video 👍
Great video....! Im interested in all aspects of service.
Very good

I have a 2021 570 sportsman, can you share a part number for that tool? Thanks for the video it helped a lit
Is it the 40 or 44 mm tool?
Yes other videos please....how to change out a wheel bearing.
Do you just grease the fronts only or all 4(6) in my case 6x6 big boss 570.
I will do a wheel bearing swap video. Also, I grease all 4. Or 6 in your case lol
Is the sportsman 450 same foot pounds for the Center bolt? 75fp?.. I need to do this
Is this the same procedure on a 2008 sportsman 700x2
are the 2010's the same? i have a 2010 Sportsman 850 & i've never greased the Wheel Bearings.
How do you grease to back one? The one without the brake!
Would you do a sportsman 700x2 efi 2008 the same way
Does all this apply to the 2024 Sportsman 570 eps as well? Or did they change something?
Is sportsman 450 ho 2019 35 mm front 40 mm back
I also can’t find any grease fittings but the one on the prop shaft, any idea where they would be on a 2021 sportsman 570? Thank you for the video, it was very helpful
They are pretty much in the same spots on the 570. Do you have the MacPherson strut model or the dual a-arm model?
@@Polarisxcr700 I have the dual arm model, 570 efi
They don’t have grease fittings on the 2021 570
How do you clean?
What tool size for 2018 570 ?
How about the rear?
What mm are front and rear size tool?

anyone gotta link for the grease tool??
Did you replace the pinion cover? If so can you post video of how to?
I did and I will
Good video man! Do you know if the 570s are the same?
I had a 2015 570 before having the 850. What I have noticed is that the 570 seemed to go through bushings and wheel bearing at a higher rate.
Where can i found that tool ?
I ordered a Polaris 850 Premium Trail model, should be here the first week of August. Can you provide any information on where to purchase the greasing tool? Thx in advance....
Super ATV. Look up their website. Good luck!

Check your machine, my 2021 Sportsman 1000 was bone dry in all the suspension fittings. Grease them.
What size tool do you need for a 570/850 sportsman 44mm and/or 40mm? Thanks.
Any follow up on this? I think I need 40mm but wanted to confirm for a 1000 sportsman
might as well use water proof grease, much thicker !!
What is the cleaning stuff you used?
Chemical Guys Water Based interior detailer. It's the white one not the clear one

Link to tool
that bugs me, just bought my wife a 23' Polaris 450 and that seems ridiculous to not have sealed bearings.
I highly doubt most owners ever grease their machine properly.
Way too excessive. I'll just replace the bearings when they go lol

Piss poor Polaris…
Buy something else?? 👍
and your can-ams are better ...right
Maybe you can live with the Chinese if you love them so much.
Why I would never buy this quad. It's junk ! A cfmoto is a better unit then these. Sad !
