  • Welcome back to 3Day Weekend.
Today I'm going to replace the bearings in my 2019 Polaris Sportsman Ace 570, aka "Floyd". This is the same procedure for all the Aces, including the 325.
Symptoms: grinding noise in the front end, loose steering, clunking sound, play in the wheel when the machine is jacked up. Although many of these issues could be coming from other sources, these bad bearings were causing all of these issues in Floyd.
As with many projects, there were challenges and issues along the way. The biggest issue was that the bearings were frozen onto the hub, so once I was able to free the hub the outer raceway was stuck on the hub. I had to use the Dremel to cut and remove the outer ring. What a pain.
The project is done though and the machine is back to 100%

Very similar. The process should be nearly identical.

hit the knuckle from the side with a hard hammer. no different then doing it on a large car.

Yep. I finally got them out. They were awfully stubborn for little guys!

the one tool u really need is an air chisel.. it gets anything stuck ,unstuck so easily.. as long as u have a good size compressor ..awesome vid ,thanks for sharing... the air chisel would get the race off in no time or spin it to make it come off easy. harbor freight has a cheap one ..works great like 20 $. i think its call an air hammer / chisel ..it comes with a few tips , pointed one ,one that splits exhaust pipe and so on .

Thanks for the suggestion! I do have an air chisel, but I worry about causing damage to the hubs. But, to be honest, I didn't even think of it when I was doing this project! Thanks for watching!
