  • Are you an old soul? In this video, you'll learn the defining traits and characteristics of the old soul. In the Michael teachings, Old souls are at their final reincarnational soul age stage, the fifth stage in an evolutionary progression that includes the levels of infant, baby, young, mature and finally, old.
    Old souls are often misunderstood in society and considered eccentrics. For that reason, the old soul may be a loner.
    Older souls are more interested in the spiritual path than material gain and may seek various forms of self-employment or other means of earning a living.
    Ultimately, the old soul is more about "being" than doing. They seek the path of least resistance in life and prefer the motto of "live and let live."

    I feel like I am 17 going on 70... or 75. I have always been called an old soul and wise beyond my years since I was three, which I ironically pronounce free. I really prefer adults over peers. Along with being a bit of a misunderstood loner, I experience intense periods of introspection and detachment. I love to help people, theorize philosophically, meditate, and elevate my walk in spirituality among others.

    Finally...after living an excluded, isolated life, feeling like an intruder, with a few friends, social distance, wondering why I didn't like what everyone liked, having difficulty finding a job and deciding a career, and asking myself what was wrong with me and why I was like that...I finally figured out the reason 😅
    I'm pretty much OLD

    I RESONATE WITH THIS SO MUCH walking contradiction, self reflection, usually calm, naturally philosophical, EVEN THE EYESS, “wisdom,” good listener, “sees” people, switches hobbies a lot. I’m literally 14 and I feel like I already had the “midlife crisis” of feeling stuck in the 9-5.
    My mom told me: “when I held you for the first time, I just saw that you were an old soul, you’d been here before.”

    I realized I am an old soul at a very early age. My maturity has led a lot of grown ups taking life advices from me when I was a child. I feel like I have already been to / seen a lot of places in the world, a strange familiarity. I also feel like this life is just to teach me one thing - patience.
    This isn't where we belong, we come from somewhere else.

    I am an old soul. Since childchood feeling different from others, feeling and seeing more than people around me. I always preferred my own company and needed a lot of time for reflections. I love the nature and I have a green thumb for plants. Animals even the wild ones always liked my company and sneaked to be around me. I love staring at stars at night and I have always missed my real home which is not in this world. As a child I had healing powers and at the moment I'm working on regaining them. I am a teacher as I always felt it is my mission to educate others. Sometimes it's really hard for me to observe the world and young unexperienced souls struggling with understanding the essence of life.

    Yes, I'm an old soul.
    This leads to me wanting to escape 'normal' situations often. I have quit jobs several times, without any real idea of what I am going to do instead.
    I spend so much time trying to figure out my place in this very broken World.
    I am a HSP, INFJ, Enneagram 4w5.
    I still feel like I know nothing about myself and future.
    All I want to do, really, is to read books and sit in nature.
    I couldn't give a damn about making money for money's sake, but it can be to my own detriment that I end up being stuck and having to 'sell my soul' temporarily to afford to live.
    Much to learn.

    I’m definitely an old soul. I do have long-lasting jobs as an accountant but I’m definitely different than most people. I’m typically viewed as odd or weird or at least just plain eccentric. I’ve definitely dropped the materialism and The need to be perfectly dressed all the time and certainly don’t care for the usual workings of this world. I have many hobbies, tending to get deep into one, then on to another the next year, and so on. Although gardening and outdoor activities, especially horseback riding, have stuck with me for the better part of my life. I love my solitude and now that I’m in my early 60s and find myself without a relationship, I really have no desire whatsoever to enter into another one. My life is my own to live as I please, my spirituality and meditation practices in particular, and I am loving this life in this time construct. Remembering now how the universal consciousness works I no longer fear physical death and look forward to the next round!

    I've always enjoyed the thought of being perfect. A little by little other people told me I was pretty.. I kept thinking I was perfect among the ugly society but in a whole I failed to see that everyone was perfect and at a certain level we are all at peace and experiencing the same moments and life time together as human along with the rest of nature... When I finally started seeing the universe more as a whole than what society led me to think (people are greater than others...) then I finally fell in true love with myself along with the rest of every matter in this world.

    Yes. I gave birth to one, and recently befriended one. We are like no one, and need to be our highest spiritual selves. Conformity is corrosive to our souls, and surely will bring about, an early death. Living life at the highest level of inner fulfilment, and joy is what we pursue, and that has nothing to do with owning and driving a Rolls Royce, or living in a Penthouse it's making a positive impact on those around us it's knowing we changed things for the betterment of our fellow man, and our life mattered!

My lifestyle now gives me a lot more time to read on psychology, spirituality, history etc and i'm pleased that i'm making progress in the areas i deem important viz. understanding the fundamental inter-connectedness of everything :) even with an easy lifestyle i find life more hassle than it's worth - ofcourse it has its plus sides but i simply can't understand why people choose to have kids - hell of a lot of work for them and for the poor kid! To get more complex, that could be true if you look at the simultaneous nature of time and see that everything is happening all at once. From the standpoint of the Michael teachings, you could also consider the number of previous incarnational cycles a soul has had on other planets. An infant soul, for example, could have had 13 previous cycles before the Earth lifetime. That would lend more sophistication to the life experiences of the soul, even though it was theoretically only starting out for the first time on Earth.

    I have always been told I was an old soul. But it's lonely. I dont understand the need to always be doing somthing like my peers do. I domt feel the need to stop and do what they find so I interesting. I cant relate with them on basic levels of understanding somtimes. and when i try to make long term friendships they break apart because I grow board of them, or them me. or I just get tired of their silly childishness that we breAk apart. I sound too adult to be saying this but im just too mature for some people somtimes. I guess iv always been very selective but... Somtimes it feels like im high above them....even when i try to relate. when I try to explain it to them it never seems to make any real sense. Its lonely trying to bond with someone when you can see straight through their facade. I hate being a old soul. People dont get me and its exhusting trying to explain it all the time. I guess i just havent accepted it yet.

    When I was 3, I fell into a pool and began to drown. The nearness of "death" revealed something that left a permanent awareness of eternity & impermance in my mind that I've never been able to ignore even during my 20's when I forced myself into the usual materialistic concerns of wordly things. As a child I remember asking many questions internally as well as to my grandparents about God. And as much as I enjoyed the company of my relatives and friends, I often found myself wandering off to be alone in silence to reflect. These things might suggest that I am an old soul... but either way, I'm not sure it matters that much in the grand scheme of things. I'm just here to help.

    Eons ago I received a Michael reading that told me I was 7th level mature and that there was a possibility that I could transition to Old within this life. Now that I have finished and cleared almost all of the fourth Internal monad, I can feel the pull of the Old soul cycle and it really is a neat thing to experience -- that falling away of the mature and the literal pull of the Old.

    i think I may be an old soul... sometimes I feel that I have already done some of hurtful things, for example drugs, teres some blinks of memories and feelings and impressions, but at this lifetime I certainly have not.
    Im probably too polite. but not changing. I treat people like some tibetan monk. no matter if youre homeless or youre a business man, I will chat with you with polite manner.
    I am passionate about weird things only. meditation, reiki, yoga are my favourtites. and I want to do things differently than society. i do not want to live ordinary life, it really repulses me since teen years.
    i love to believe that there is greater force than me... I was not raised by religious parents, but I have had many ecstatic prayer and meditation and energy experiences... wishing that some day I will find another human being ad experience long lasting love.. and today I met one young attractive man... grandma got interested 😀

    How has being an old soul shaped my life experiences?
    Well, I’m 42 today, and my current experience is that I’m ok with whatever comes my way. I’m trying to enjoy every present moment even though my thoughts usually run wild while I sit behind a computer for 8 hours per day. We are growing and connecting, becoming more sure and steady in our brilliance day by day. And the younger souls are showing us the joy of it all again - to teach and share and witness the expansion of ALL firsthand. To have spoken, and to have listened - so that WE could then speak and be heard, and witness the fruit borne in full, from what once was a distant dream. And to cherish the younger ones for the intensity and curiosity they bring, knowing the world we build together will be enjoyed again from a new perspective, from countless new perspectives. What a magnificent thing it is

    My higher self traveled back in time and told me who I am, and gave me information to save humanity. Months later I saw an add for the book Animus, and it turns out this author had a psychic vision about my entire life, all the signs and proof for my psyche is there. I'm the oldest soul on Earth, and I have lived every life on earth as each different animal, and this was my first and last human life, and my Ascension causes Ascension for all other souls,. I have lived 6,666 lives, but sadly this will be feared by many. We should talk? I would actually enjoy to hear any experiences or knowledge from others that have to do with what I am saying..

    I don’t know if Im an old soul or not, but I might know one thing, and that is I have come down here to this ”young” planet to find myself and maybe show people that you can live in different way, and the norms with getting married, buy a hous, getting kids and on and on, its ok if you don’t have that. Life is a struggle and I still have anxous from time to time. From this video everything was matching except from one thing - about the eye contact. I have always had hard time looking into someones eye, I think that has to do with the knowledge about the whole visdom in there, and I think its to much for me to take in. Its the same with people in general, that can take some energy from me, love to be alone and recharge.

    I knew I was an old soul as a child. Being an old soul has been challenging. A constant yearning for home but you don't really know where home is. Feeling out of place,feeling like no one understands you. It's hard being an old soul in a world that is full of younger souls. They too will one day evolve into old souls and experience it. It's hard for old souls to truly connect with people because the things that interest most seem like been there and done that to an old soul. Self reflecting, learning and spiritually evolving is what excites old souls.

  • @cryptotrader2779
    @cryptotrader2779 Před 5 lety +2

    So ... I guess I just found out that I'm an old soul. This video couldn't have described me any better. I was listening to the story of me !
    I've known since being a small child that I didn't quite belong or quite fit in. Always felt like something was "off" with this world, or me, and was always a square peg in a round hole when it came to work - different jobs no solid career, and always bored stupid after the novelty wore off. Office life always seemed so futile and nothing but a dumb hamster wheel ... work so you can get money to pay a car and food so you can keep going to work. Anyway, nice to finally get a bit of insight.
    I do love art and creating music, photography, writing, anything creative, and will always take peace and quiet over busy environments every time. I love beauty, nature, calm, peace, tranquility and hate violence, destruction, and negative people. I can almost feel them sucking out my energy, my life, and my soul force.
    I absolutely must have my own space and personal freedom. The 9-5 life was always nothing but a prison sentence. One thing that also resonated a lot with me from the video, was the fact that I always do things just to prove I can do it (hobbies, etc..), and then drop them just as quick as I started. I often wondered why I was like that and never quite understood it. I'm like "OK, I learned that and worked at it until I did it very well. Now what ? What's next ?".
    The big question for me, is how do we best fit in with a world revolving around money ? What do we do ? Sadly money is needed, yet we don't want to go and work for it. I have very few wants and needs, but I would love my own house one day soon. By the sea of course :o) Where else would we live ?

    Old souls are desliked by many people including there own spouses. It's so sad for someone to adress you as a grandma and yet you are not old. No matter how beautiful you are no one sees you even though you are extra ordinary talented. Old souls are easy to get abused by the narcissist and scicopaths since they have something special which is needed by them. God is always there guidance and whatever they say, happen to be true! And when they are angry a lot of things goes wrong as well. So are you one of them? Please i need a reply on this because we are all learning.

    I recently came into an article describing what I believed to be fundamental traits of the term 'old soul' but I never actually thgouth of the term to be an actual idealogy. I always assumed that term was meant to describe someone who acted like someone elderly. I instantly found myself grasped by this article. It view astounded me because it described me... and I was hit with waves of relief in the thought that I was not by myself in the world. That my way at looking at life in a serious of dimensions and never finding interest in the world's endevours. Everything about the concept of an old soul fits into my life perfectly. I feel as though a revolution has spawned inside of me, as if I was truly born again after reading that article. TY, great Video! If there are past lives I feel I've had 3, though I wasn't raised to believe in them and can't prove it! However, my dreams about them were so realistic and detailed, 'like being there'! #1, Atlantis, #2,1800's and #3, Bonnie Parker! I was fired on the spot from my stained-glass window job on the old side of Dallas one day after sharing my dream about being Bonnie Parker in a past life with my bosses at lunch. When I asked why they were firing me they said the building we were in just happened to be the morgue where they brought Bonnie P's body. I still can't believe they fired me over a dream!!! When I was 5 yrs. old I asked my parents 2 questions when we were outside one day: 'Why is the sky blue' and 'Why is the grass green'. They just looked at each other, shook their heads and Mom asked Dad: 'Where does she come up with these things'? LOL! I still ask questions to this day like: 'Why are sooo many people on the planet A-holes?', 'Why do we choose to do wrong over right'? 'Why do we hurt/abuse each other? On and on and on...it never seems to end! 😉😱🙄😔

      Dearest Michael, I truly believe that EVERYONE is an "old soul" as you guys call it! We were created with a predominant, driving desire to search for the "reason" and also the "source" of our becoming. I don't think this is reserved for just a few, or a group. It's instilled in every, living, conscience soul. And it's put there by our Creator, Yahweh. God. And He made us this way so that we would seek Him out and come to know Him on a very, very personal level. This is ALL man kind. ALL!!! But leading people to believe they are "gods" is very wrong, and potentially dangerous. There is one true God. That's quite all we need. It's just a shame everyone don't hear that still, small voice that is SHOUTING to us all.

      Many old souls dont particiate in popular activities because they dont see a meaning in it, i skateboard, whats the meaning in that? To release the chemicals in my brain that make my soul happy. Other than that i dont see a meaning flipping my board around, its just a mental construct that beleive its really doing something progressive, but it is, since the better i get the more opportunitys arise to meet people and learn more lessons about life, witch hopefully i carry those lessons to my next vessel. So i dont beleive that old souls dont fit with other people, i fit in great with other people because of how i know how they will react to the actions i choose to make.I was a lowkey social outcast in grade 7, now in grade 9 after my awakening i learned to study people and become what they want me to be...that only applies to people i look up to or see a benefit in being friends with them.

      Michael Teachings Stagnation? No, I don't think so, I get the feeling it's growth. I started out a totally different person than I am now. I taught myself to speak a few languages and play a couple instruments. None of these would have been suggested in my early family life. I think I'm in a "resting" period now before I tackle some new learning project. Sorry if I gave you the wrong impression! I can see how you might come up with that goal.

    • @Michaelteachings
      @Michaelteachings  Před 7 lety +1

      Oh, I was just curious. If you're a fairly busy person then a goal of Growth would certainly make sense. And yes, Flow is the new term for Stagnation. Many students thought stagnation implied negative connotations.

    • @cimbalok2972
      @cimbalok2972 Před 7 lety +2

      I still like the old terms: Slave rather than Server, Stagnation instead of Flow, probably because I learned them first and the new ones seem a little sugary. Michael is/are acerbic! To elucidate further on how my life choices demonstrate that I really don't care about success - the languages I learned were Polish, Slovak, Bosnian and (I'm still working on) Romanian instead of the more "popular" Spanish, French and German or "useful" Chinese or Arabic. The instruments I taught myself to play are hammer dulcimer and accordion instead of guitar. I go for what I truly like, not what's popular. And that rarely leads to monetary success, although it didn't exactly hurt me either. Thank you for your comments, I'm always happy when a poster engages me. I look forward to exploring your other vids!

    • @Michaelteachings
      @Michaelteachings  Před 7 lety +2

      Trust me, the community has gone round and round over the years regarding the Michael terminology. Some students embrace the new terms, others prefer the original ones. I don't have a problem with Stagnation -- although Slave is a tough sell. Sounds like you have a natural affinity for language. That's impressive.
