Being an old soul, lemme tell ya, it's not 'better' in modern western culture. We don't care about the things young souls do. There's a whole lot of 'been there, done that'. As noted, not all old souls are happy/shiny people ; we can be grumpy.

When I was young I felt I was 80 years old, now that I’m 47, I feel I’m very young. I’ve spent lots of time in solitude and I enjoy being rather than doing maybe to the point that I forgot to do !

The meaning of an old soul is suffering. Kinda unfair that your soul decides to enter a life of suffering from the moment you are born however it makes your spiriutal evolution faster and stronger.

No one soul age not better than other but the more advanced your soul, the more spiritually advanced you are likely to be. And there could be harder karmas an older soul would need to go through. The older/mature soul likely to have more spiritual awareness as he or she journeys through life

I knew I was an old soul as a child. Being an old soul has been challenging. A constant yearning for home but you don't really know where home is. Feeling out of place,feeling like no one understands you. It's hard being an old soul in a world that is full of younger souls. They too will one day evolve into old souls and experience it. It's hard for old souls to truly connect with people because the things that interest most seem like been there and done that to an old soul. Self reflecting, learning and spiritually evolving is what excites old souls.

My high school nickname was Space. Intended to drift into thought a lot and when I did speak I’d get replies like ohh, that was deep….

All of these old souls feeling lonely in the comments...look around you!! And I don't mean that sarcastically haha, I am one and I get it (: but seriously, look around - NOW is the time to rejoice! Look how many of us are here, from years ago up to this moment. We are growing and connecting, becoming more sure and steady in our brilliance day by day. And the younger souls are showing us the joy of it all again - to teach and share and witness the expansion of ALL firsthand. To have spoken, and to have listened - so that WE could then speak and be heard, and witness the fruit borne in full, from what once was a distant dream. And to cherish the younger ones for the intensity and curiosity they bring, knowing the world we build together will be enjoyed again from a new perspective, from countless new perspectives. What a magnificent thing it is <3 Have to say one last thing, I laughed out loud at several of these - the 'laziness' and 'talent swapping' ones in particular!! One day it's quantum biology and electrical engineering, the next lydian guitar riffs and herbalism. I have long fancied myself a 'jill-of-all-trades' and now feel extra empowered by that fact :D

How about the memory of past loves. You know they are waiting for you when you die so no hurry to find a new love. If it happens then it happens but there is not a desire to seek it out because you love everyone equally.

TY, great Video! If there are past lives I feel I've had 3, though I wasn't raised to believe in them and can't prove it! However, my dreams about them were so realistic and detailed, 'like being there'! #1, Atlantis, #2,1800's and #3, Bonnie Parker! I was fired on the spot from my stained-glass window job on the old side of Dallas one day after sharing my dream about being Bonnie Parker in a past life with my bosses at lunch. When I asked why they were firing me they said the building we were in just happened to be the morgue where they brought Bonnie P's body. I still can't believe they fired me over a dream!!! When I was 5 yrs. old I asked my parents 2 questions when we were outside one day: 'Why is the sky blue' and 'Why is the grass green'. They just looked at each other, shook their heads and Mom asked Dad: 'Where does she come up with these things'? LOL! I still ask questions to this day like: 'Why are sooo many people on the planet A-holes?', 'Why do we choose to do wrong over right'? 'Why do we hurt/abuse each other? On and on and on...it never seems to end! 😉😱🙄😔

Third level mature. The older I got the harder work became for me...I just so bored and most of my work didn't seem to have much value. I now live in a little sister-in-law cottage and I just love being home, enjoying my pets and looking at my beautiful forest like yard. I don't require much and feel blessed at the freedom I have attained.

Yes I am an old soul...

I prefer live and let live but I don't tolerate stupid, I don't iron my clothes, I have many hobbies and natural talents, I hate drama, I don't freak out over an emergency but people who do irritate me and I don't hide it. I'm not always laid back because I have no trouble finding myself something to do that I want to get done but will take a few lazy days now and again to rest. I only work because it allows me to take care of my family and indulge the things that truly interest me.

I am an Old Soul, 4th Level, Artisan, Goal of Acceptance, Idealist, Emotional Center of the Intellectual.. Chief Feature - Impatience. It's all definitely a trade-off. There is an ennui I feel for what younger souls still hold, that I see as illusion now. It's all OK.

When I was 3, I fell into a pool and began to drown. The nearness of "death" revealed something that left a permanent awareness of eternity & impermance in my mind that I've never been able to ignore even during my 20's when I forced myself into the usual materialistic concerns of wordly things. As a child I remember asking many questions internally as well as to my grandparents about God. And as much as I enjoyed the company of my relatives and friends, I often found myself wandering off to be alone in silence to reflect. These things might suggest that I am an old soul... but either way, I'm not sure it matters that much in the grand scheme of things. I'm just here to help.

Hi Michael Teachings, Thanks for this video on Old Soul in Love, My question is . ;Am I a loving old soul or loving young soul or something else?; Perhaps the following can may shed light on my question. My definition of 'love' is 'creating goodness'. Somehow, I feel that it is right to state that there are two kinds of love in my life. (1) Loving the one I share my life with called spousal love. I had an amazing marriage. Before she departed more 15 years 6 months 20 days ago. she told me we would reunite as siblings. When she was alive, I could not fool around even when I tried. After she departed, I had friends but I did not feel any spousal love for them. (2) Loving others - non spousal love. It makes sense to me to love others in humanity. After my wife passed, I decided to engage my retirement time to community enhancing activities which are essentially creating goodness.

Even as a child,I always felt that I am completely different.The times I remember when I always look in the window and having the hobby of watching the blue skies when the people around me are sleeping at a noon time.And midnights,dawns and noons are very nostalgic to me-I can't even explain it!
