- A more accurate explanation of the install process for converting 10/20/29 Aqueon Aquariums into hinged front opening vertical terrariums or 20H Aqueon Aquariums into sliding glass door horizontal terrariums.
Genius design choice! This saves a ton of work compared to modifying an upright aquarium by, cutting & removing all the silicone, removing the front glass, scoring & cutting, and then re-attaching it. Very nice!
Definitely need this for 40 breeders =)
Still waiting!
Super slick and smart design! 👍👍
Looks good man! Loving the potential for the 3 misting ports! Ready to purchase that 20 horz kit when you’re good.
Korey McCluskey 20 horiz is ready and on the site. If you don’t use silicone i’d recommend adding 1/8” more to the bottom glass.
Pumped! Just ordered a 10 vert kit, and 20 horizontal one. See how they work and go from there. 👍👍
jake8283 printing them now with a new enhanced mesh design.
Oh I like that fan in the middle idea!
Right on brother, most awesome!!!
Looking for that 40B update now!
Great Idea. ... i just wonder if that is enough ventilation?
Of course I just bought two 15 gallon tall aqueons (not column). Should have bought the 20g so I could use your kit.
do you still do horizontal kits?
Do you sell the stl? Or only finished parts?
Since you guys an email and I'm really hoping that I get a response
Do u make them for 75 gallon
Question, with being that its a glass top now standing upright, I assume no one is using UV light A and B down on an anole or reptile that requires the UV light. Ive seen some vids that show glass blocks UV light to 100% when they used UV meters. I seen someone smash the top of the tank and silicone in a vent. That seems the only way to really make these things a healthy habitat due to UV rays, I have a 40gal conversion kit that now Im 2nd guessing due to once I realized the glass blocks UV light, or an alternative is to put the UV light inside which I dont wanna do to humidity etc. Any suggestions?
Depends on the need of the animal in question. Frogs don't need UV light. Most animals that live under a jungle canopy don't. If you have an animal that needs it, I wouldn't use this system.
You can drill a hole and 3D print a circle to hold mesh so UV stills goes through
But how do I buy???
