Extending the Ender-3 Pro to be Extra Long

In order to better create my designs on the Ender-3 Pro, I decided to focus on building a bed that could print within an extended space of 6" x 22." This is a longer walkthrough of how to build my extra long conversion. The 4040 v-slot determines the max length with 8 inches the max width. In theory you could modify the design for a print space of 8" x 32."

How will you deal with heat or uvb lights on glass? Will the top break? Or cause an oven effect to the top?
You don't use heat or UVB lights on frogs. Or crested geckos. If you need heat I would not use this method.

What a lot of unnecessary work. Much easier to cut *any* piece of wood to the correct width/depth (the shelves supplied inside the IVAR cabinets are a perfect depth and are pre-finished) and just buy a pack of 6mm pins to hold the shelves - 4 for each shelf, using any of the IVAR pre-drilled holes. No need to replicate the fancy fixings…
Excellent! Those shelf boards are too long, and I always thought they should have had a shelf of a size somewhere in the middle (25"), to go with their 17" and 33" boards... ...But they changed the inserts on the sides, about 2 years ago (2020). Gone is the plastic. When last I checked, they were steel or aluminum (I don't know exactly which). I only hope they didn't make them harder to pull out. I have room enough for a bench, but not one for that saw (I have a Dremel saw); and I have a router and I have seen a router bit that can cut a slit that narrow into the side of that wood.
