    Wow so many great finds! Dugway is one of the top places on my bucket list. I bought a couple at a rock shop not too long ago and they have been one of my favorite things to cut open, but it's not the same as digging it out yourself. Very cool!

    You found a really great pocket! We hope to make it up there again before it gets to cold! Last year we went up and the roads were washed out at Dugway, we couldn’t get to the dig spots, but still found some awesome geodes!

      @@theruggedrockhound will do! I did Find a perfect 12 inch geode that day, in the road. I had to dig it up. Weird that it was there. I haven’t cut it, but I know it’s hollow, because when I roll it, you can hear a lose crystal inside! We should be up there soon, I’ll let you know!👍🏼

    I like your videos, great stuff, I don’t know what filter you’re using or the camera focus, but when it’s fuzzy and moves it causes me to get motion sickness.

    Can't wait to check out this spot! Thanks for sharing. I was wondering how you get your finds from there cleaned up. Is it the classic water and toothbrush? Or is there more to it?

    • @theruggedrockhound
      @theruggedrockhound  Před rokem

      That's pretty much it! You could also use a pressure washer on the larger sample

      Yes. While the geodes at #2 tend to be smaller, they are more plentiful

    • @theruggedrockhound
      @theruggedrockhound  Před 11 měsíci

      Not in this area, but I do know of some areas that have amethyst, unfortunately most of those are claimed.
