Honestly, I've never had a PlayStation console until the PS4 only because they won me over on the E3 conference. Xbox One really dropped the ball

Despite the fact that the technology inside the launch model is nearly 10 years old this console will probably remain my primary gaming platform until early 2022. Unless for some reason the console becomes easily available without issue.

Just because PS5 has released, doesn't mean that PS4's era has ended. It is not over yet. PS4 is still my favorite console.
Its already over... Sad to say.. Sony already stop producing ps4 pro same goes to microsoft xbox one x.. There's no point on making more ps4 if 99% of the games are available to play on ps5.. Ps4 is already over but there's still one exclusive left for ps4 and 3rd party games for the ps4.. After that the developers will be focusing on the next generation ps5 .. It seems ubisoft is already move on to the next generation ps5 ... The biggest reason why they stop producing ps4 pro because the gap Price point between ps4pro and ps5 digital edition is way to close 50Dollar..sony can't afford to go even lower on ps4 pro to only option is to stop.. Same goes to xbox one x same reasons as sony

But its pretty much over for the ps4 and xbox one 3rd party game are just finishing what left on the ps4 before moving on.. Sony is asking all developers to move on according to ign report 90% of the developers are moving to the next gen, other 10% they just what to finish the that was made for the previous generation..
@@naufal3038 don't get confused the 3 years support for the ps4 .. They want smooth transition between ps4 to ps5 in that 3 years life span.. It means they will still support ps4 software,.while asking all the developers to move on.. According to digital foundry Spiderman miles Morales isnt a true next generation game, it was made for the previous generation in mind in the first place...but the developers still the freedom if they want to build games for the previous generation...

Oh, the PS4 cycle was indeed a cycle of constant success for me: I played one awesome game after another, either exclusive or not. And I'm not even close to be done with the awesome PS4 games available. Thankfully the PS5 makes it easy for me to continue chipping at the backlog!

E3 2013 wasn’t just a slaughter. It was a massacre that completely destroyed the Xbox brand to the point it had to reconsider it’s entire strategy/sack it’s head & was still effected it into the gen after. To the point it had to make the biggest purchase in entertainment history since Star Wars & spend $7 billion to try & fairly compete. Which they got ripped off on imo because Bethesda is clearly worth no where near as much/is not as well known as Star Wars. Ya know. The film/franchise which revolutionised cinema, became a cultural icon that will be remembered throughout the rest of history & literally invented the term blockbuster. Bethesda just made a buggy game that became a Reddit meme because they kept releasing it over & over again...

I disagree, they should 100% move away from developing PS4 games so game creators won’t be held back with their creative freedom and cut less content from all versions of their game to accommodate.
Even when the PS4 launched, the PS3 was still a relevant platform for another 2-3 years. Considering the PS4 has been even more successful, it will still be around for *at least* that long.

Ps5 can certainly can top ps4 games Library.. 99% of the ps4 games are playable on ps5.. For the first time Ps5 has the most strongest line up of exclusive in this early generation according to sony PlayStation ceo,..it seems that sony is going all out on ps5,double on what ps4 offers in previous generation.. That's the goal.. Ps5 is the most easiest console to develop games in the world , they can produce games more quickly now,. Ps5 was created by the developers in mind according to mark cerny

Blame Sony for not respecting some of these franchises enough to continue or market them better.
Keeping franchises like FF mgs gta and resident evil would be impossible cause 3rd party publishers understood overtime that more platforms means more 💰

I owned the xbox 360, still do, and i loved that generation very much.
I got the ps4 in 2016 and have been using it ever since. In fact ill use it until the end of 2021 when i can say that theyll be reason ( games wise) to get the ps5.

When it comes to crossplay, a lot of people name "playing with friends" as a reason to buy a platform. Therefore, the market leader is against it, and the competition is for it, and CEO's spin it. So simple, yet so many people spend so much time arguing about it, even gong so far as to portray Phil "Next year, I promise!" Spencer as some sort of pro-gamer crusader.

I think the main reason why I will keep my 4 pro for years to come is the simple reason of exclusives and a near pickup and play experience.

I honestly couldn't emphasize it enough as to how much PS4 absolutely bossed the last console generation and congrats to them.
I bought the PS4 Batman Arkham Knight bundle back in 2015, i like the PS4, what i hate is that the controllers tend to crash when it has the yellow, orange light and what i hate is the waiting on the installation process when u insert a physical game disk 💿, that takes away the fun in gaming. The PS3 was better in some ways

It might be the type of gamer that I am (single player mostly unless playing multilayer with my husband since we own 2 ps4 and share our games) but ps4 was pretty much just positives for me. But of course not everyone is the same :)

XboX was then XboX360 and then switched to PS4, for me Sony did everything right from the PS4 and are still on the right track .... but XboX is coming back a bit!
PS4 won because XBOX completely misunderstood their player base.
This was cool but also weird. I wish it focused more on some of the consoles early days. Seems like they could've covered more of the systems smaller impactful moments and games and not spend like half the video talking about cross play.

Switch is 9th gen. It’s spent more time competing with XBX, PS5 than against PS4 and XB1 (which was only 3 years).
